Their nature is spiritual: They are spiritual beings (pure spirt, no physcal body).
Their office is "Messenger": They are messengers of God.

If you mean by "divine" eternal, only God is eternal. Angels are part of creation.

e·ter·nal

/iˈtərnl/

Adjective

1.Lasting or existing forever; without end or beginning.
2.(of truths, values, or questions) Valid for all time; essentially unchanging.

According to definition #1 only the Lord is eternal, for only He is without beginning.

According to definition #2, (essentially unchanging), could be anything that is even created as long as it is unending after its creation.

Conclusion, another item to find dispute with, when IMO it doesn't really matter.

Actually angels are simply messengers in scripture. Some of them are heavenly or divine, but some of them were or are men like us. The really heavenly or divine ones in God's presence in 3rd heaven have never fallen. The fallen angels are found in corruptible men called by God but fallen off of His Way into their own ways. This is my opinion.

TheRealMilkMan,

By our love and faith, we have become the sons of the Living God, the angels. Our spirits are not of this world.

WE ARE THE sons OF THE LIVING GOD (ANGELS)

John 15:19 (KJV) If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

Philippians 2:15 (KJV) That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

II Corinthians 2:15 (KJV) For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:

II Corinthians 2:16 (KJV) To the one we are the savour of Death unto Death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?

Ephesians 1:4 (KJV) According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

John 1:11 (KJV) He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

John 1:12 (KJV) But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Romans 8:14 (KJV) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Romans 8:19 (KJV) For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

Romans 8:20 (KJV) For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,

Romans 8:21 (KJV) Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

Galatians 4:3 (KJV) Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:

Galatians 4:4 (KJV) But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

Galatians 4:5 (KJV) To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

Galatians 4:6 (KJV) And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

Galatians 4:7 (KJV) Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

I John 3:1 (KJV) Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

I John 3:2 (KJV) Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

I John 3:3 (KJV) And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

Luke 20:36 (KJV) Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

A WARNING

Colossians 2:18 (KJV) Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,

Hebrews 13:2 (KJV) Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

Soulheart3;

I think we can call #2 "everlasting" since there was a point of creation for angels and we, otherwise we have a God who is not unique, that is, having no beginning. He'd be like us this way. Angels having no beginning and ending means that they would be God. They are divine beings (like believers after the transformation) in that they partake of the eternal, that is, everlasting life from a point of creation. We partake of eternal life, not because we like God have had no beginning but because we're given the gift of everlasting life through Christ Jesus.

Give praise to the Lord in heaven; praise him, all that dwells on high. Praise him, all you angels of his, praise him, all his armies. Praise him, sun and moon; praise him, every star that shines. Praise him, you highest heavens, you waters beyond the heavens. Let all these praise the Lord; it was his command that created them. He has set them there unageing for ever, given them a law which cannot be altered (Psalm 148:1-6).

I think it's a distinction that ought to be noted.

Both God and the angels are said to be of fire. We can talk about angels being created or made; but I think the more accurate term is emanate.

If I have a bonfire and take a flame from it, it may appear I have two fires; but it's still all fire. If I return the flame back to the bonfire, they're one fire again.

I believe angels can come and go out of existence according the Divine Will. While they partake of the Divine Nature, being a manifestation of the Sacred Flames, they are not, by themselves, "God." However when people saw angels in the Old Testament, they sometimes said they had "seen" God -- meaning really they had seen the angel and also "saw" that God was a reality.

Angels can also said to be of Light, just as God can be described that way. When angels come forth, it is as Light. When they return to God, it is as a flame moving upwards. One error of the fallen angels is that they do not want to return to the Source of All That Is.

Such are my views.

TRUE ANGEL OF LIGHT

Matthew 1:23 (KJV) Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Luke 2:21 (KJV) And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb.

John 9:5 (KJV) As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

SATAN WILL IMITATE JESUS CHRIST

II Corinthians 11:14 (KJV) And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

II Corinthians 11:15 (KJV) Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

IT IS UP TO US TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE...

II Corinthians 4:4 (KJV) In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

II Corinthians 4:5 (KJV) For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

II Corinthians 4:6 (KJV) For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Love by faith, faith by works
