Default Four Crucified with Christ.

Matthew 27: 38 -- Then were there two thieves (or robbers -- duo lestai ) crucified with him, one on the right hand, and another on the left.

Mark 15: 27 -- And with him they crucify two thieves (duo lestai); the one on his right hand, and the other on his left.

Luke 23: 32 -- And there were also two other, malefactors (duo kakourgoi), led with him to be put to death.

Not sure where you are going with this, walknlight, but I can't see any reason to think that the "thieves" in Mt and Mk and the "wrongdoers" in Lk were different people.

All 3 gospels record that there were 2 others crucified with Christ. The fact that the gospels use a different Greek word to describe the criminals/thieves/robbers/wrongdoers/rogues/felons doesn't mean that there were more than 2 of them.

Yes, the two malefactors were led with the Lord Jesus while the other two (robbers) were brought much later after the parting of the garments.

Here look at this....

"The soldiers broke the legs of one of the ones crucified after Christ had been crucified, then of one of the ones crucified WITH Jesus, but when they came to Jesus... They were going down the line. They would not have broke the legs of one, walked around Jesus to brake the legs of the other, then turn around and go back to Jesus."

Your right they did not break the legs of one then walk around to break the legs of the other and then turn around to Jesus. They didn't break the legs of Jesus at all because Jesus was dead already.Joh 19:33 But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs: Joh_19:36 For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken.

You have overlooked what John wrote about the event of the Crucifixion.
Joh 19:18 Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst.
Only two not four.

But you do not use the word "midst" when there are only two, do you? You say " in between". You use midst when there are more than 2, either 4 or 8 but not 2.

You know the three crosses are a tradition but do not hold up to close examination.

I remember someone complaining about seeing crosses with Jesus still hanging on the cross and their objection to it because Jesus is risen.

Then I read a comment from a Catholic woman who said that Jesus was not raised from the cross but from the tomb. She made an excellent point by having the reader look more closely at the facts.
Seeing a crucifix with Jesus (nailed to the cross) is not saying He is not risen, not at all but it is a remembrance of His great suffering in our stead lest we forget.
