Default What is the difference

In some translations of the scriptures the phrase sexual immorality is used in place of fornication.
What is there a difference between fornication and sexual immorality?
Or are they one in the same?

Fornication refers to premarital intercourse but it is frequently condemned by those who engage in adultery which is an equally sinful type of immorality.

The dictionary on fornication says: voluntary sexual intercourse between two unmarried people.

Immorality: an immoral act or practice
Immoral: not moral
Moral:standards of right and wrong

So sexual immorality, might be sex with your parent, your brother, sex with animals...yucky stuff in deed....it could also be rape, molestation
so any act of sex, other then fornication

The ten commandments refers to not committing adultery. other than that, anything else should be evaluated in terms of whether it is loving our neighbor as ourselves. Those are the two commandments I'm going with.

Humans ought to pay more attention to feeding the hungry, clothing and comforting the poor and sick and visiting prisoners and shut-ins instead of scratching around to find some new "sin."

Two different bible translations, it means the same.
But fornication is sleeping with someone before marriage. Sexual immorality I think covers a wider range, and that is probably why they changed it. It could include perversion, pornography, bestiality, homosexual and *******, petifilia, anything that is not HOLY.

God said without HOLINESS you will NOT see the face of God. Nor will anywone committing these sexual acts enter the kingdom of God.

And WB...in your heart, your happy, thinking I'll not get there. But I will because I have that amazing grace that saves wretches like me.
However God does it, I want Him to let that same grace flow down on you.

What do you think of when Jesus said to us"If we even look upon another with lust we have commited adultry"

I think God may take this a bit more seriously then we think.

Will one get into heaven if they know Jesus and still commit sin? I think so

But isnt salvation more than just going to heaven?

I dont condemn anyone antonio and i never will. What you do is what you do and for me the same.

But I would say that we must take all of Gods word into account when making decisions in our walk. We cannot grip to a few and put the rest to the wayside..

God Bless friend
