| | | Re: Knee surgery This kinda thing I see everyday in Nursing John, also my dad and mother in law both had replacement knee surgery recently and at 86 "Gramma" I call my M-in -Law, was up in no time! About 2 weeks of needing someone always there anytime you get up, to be safe, but she started flying after that. The only thing to really watch for is any sign of infection, but usually no problem at all. Gramma doesn't limp anymore! She'll do well but ofcourse we will pray to be secure. kim |

| | Re: Knee surgery She has my prayers as well John. Will you be able to handle things till she gets back on her feet? Perhaps you need some prayer also, either way, prayers are ascending.

| | Re: Knee surgery Thanks to everyone for their prayers.
The surgery will result in complete replacement of the natural knee. As my wife says, she will in effect have a bionic knee joint when they are done. Presently she is pretty much bone on bone with continuous pain, grinding and locking and giving.
I had not been allowed to drive myself for the past couple of months, but I managed to get my doctor's permission to drive again so that we would not be a household with two vehicles and no drivers. My wife will be unable to drive at all for 2-3 weeks. They say she's be in the hospital for 3-5 days. If all goes well she should be fully recovered and walking better than ever within a couple of months.
Again thank all of you for your kind word and prayers. I am not worried for God has it all under His control! Glory to His name! |

| | Re: Knee surgery Update on my wife. Thanks to everyone who is continue to pray and offer encouragement here.
We went into the hopital last week for pre-admission tests and screening.
This morning my wife came up to me crying and I know it is not God's will for me to be afraid or even anxious, "Will you pray for me". We sat down together and we prayed. When we were done she began to cough and ran to the kitchen where she vomited a little into the sink. Then she said she thought God had helped her spit out the fear and anxiety. We are giving God all of the glory!
We have to be at the hospital in Stillwater at 6:00 A.M. tomorrow morning so we'll be leaving at 5:00A.M. |

| | Re: Knee surgery Father God, be with John and his wife today. Give them strength to get through all of the events they face, calm their fears, surround them with Your love and hold them safe. Guide the minds, eyes and hands of the surgical team, let no harm come to this sister. I ask this in the name of Jesus, amen and amen.
