Thank you. |
Do not use the "post reply" button at the bottom. Instead click the button that says "quote" on it inside the post you wish to quote. That copies the other person's post into yours. If you don't wish to multi-quote, all you have to do is type your response under the section inside the {quote} and {/quote} marks -- I'm substituting { - } for [ - ] so they show up. If I typed them the way they need to show up, they would vanish in my post.
If you want to split their remarks into more than one quote, you need to use {quote} and {/quote} around each quote. You can type these out. You can also use the quote icon

above the box you're typing in by first holding down the right button on your mouse and mousing over the section you want to enclose -- when you have that darkened, click on the icon. Another way of doing it is to put the {quote} and {/quote} into place first and then cutting and pasting their remarks to the inside.
If you have too many or too few, the results will be wrong. If I were to do it four times, I'd use a combination of these methods.
{quote} first quote {/quote} -- I'd use {quote} that is supplied for me but type in the {/quote}.
{quote} second and third quotes {/quote} -- I'd use the quote icon for both these.
{quote} fourth quote {/quote} -- I would type {quote} and then use the {/quote} that was already there.
I recommend experimenting with it and checking your results by clicking on "preview post" first to make see how things show up.
