Some say Jerusalem or the New Jerusalem, but I see it also as the place of God's Order rather than a geographic place or in addition to a physical geographic location. Anyplace that is not in accord with God's order is not 'Zion', at least, not yet! Quote:

| What God has chosen is what He says it is! Thus Zion is where He will dwell. It is to be His abode. Quote: |
"But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel." Psalm 22:3
| Here the Lord's dwelling place is described as the "praises of Israel [His people]!
"Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;
Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.
Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:
Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed." Rom 9:4-8 Quote: |
"In Salem also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling place in Zion." Psalm 76:2 [Salem = Jerusalem]
| "And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband." Rev 21:2
Is this not also the Bride of Christ?
[quote]"Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works." John 14:10
And the Father dwells in Jesus as Jesus dwells in the Father. Quote: |
"Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet," Acts 7:48
| He dwells also in temples; not those made by men! Quote: |
“And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.” Matt 8:20
| Yet, Jesus, as a man, did not even have a place to sleep of His own! Quote: |
“In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.” Eph 2:22
| We, you and me, are or are to be the dwelling place of God! Quote: |
"Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?" I Cor 3:16
| Again, we are the dwelling place, the temple of God! Quote: |
“And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.” II Cor 6:16
| If we are the temple in which God will dwell, we cannot at the same time give any credit or honor to any idols. Quote: |
"That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love," Eph 3:17
| By faith He dwells in our hearts with a foundation of Love! Quote: |
"And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us." I John 3:24
| But... to be His dwelling place, we must keep His commandments! How can we? By His Spirit in us! Quote: |
"And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God." Rev 21:3
