Default And the winner is...

Turkish gameshow enlists imam, Greek Orthodox priest, rabbi and monk to try to convert atheists, with pilgrimage as reward.

No, it's not a joke.

Who do you think the winner might be? I'm putting my money on the atheists.

What kind of questions might this commission ask, do you think? "As an atheist, do you ever call on the name of God or Allah when you're mad?" "Can you prove you don't have a burn mark on your flesh from being baptized with holy water as an infant?" Seriously - how they gonna check credentials? Membership at AtheistNation even is mixed. Your atheists there in Australia meet on Sunday nights just like other "religions" (yes, I called your nonbelief a religion: remember our Sureme Court here in the US declared ya so. hehehe) and last I checked you were meeting at the Ashbury Methodist Church. That could be misconstrued as religious gathering. Hey: Brad! You signing up for the show? I'd watch.

Yeah.... I'd like to see the criteria on this too. They gonna have mystery worshippers following these converts around to make sure they're growing in faith and worshipping regularly? How can they judge that?

Wow, how far we have fallen. Inflatable Catholic churches on the beach at Milan, Convert an Atheist TV shows, virtual churches on line here where you can do confession, light candles, sing along with canned songs. Even as an unchurched person, I am shaking my head over it all.

I had heard of this in another venue, and I had also heard the the Islamic Inmans would not be a part of it, but that the priests, and the rabbis would. It kinda makes me respect the Inmans more so.

I am sure this is not government approved. Turkey is the middle eastern version of France in terms of secularism.
