Default LIGHT for the SIGHTED

Amazing grace, how sweet the gift, I once was blinded
but now I am blessed to see your bless’d face.
O happy happy me.

WOLLT IHR AUCH SEINE JUNGER SEIN?
John 9 was my read this morning, where the elite, those of
the Sanhedrin seminary trained demanded to know,
Was hatte er mit dir getan das deine Augen sind geoffnet?
What did He do to you that your eyes are now opened?

Well people the same could be asked of you, what did GOD
do to open your eyes, people? How would you defend your faith?

Here in John’s retelling there was this young man who had been
born blind, who that momentous day was approached by a stranger
who then anoints his face and then tells him to go get baptised
@ the pool called Siloam, where there would be a bad accident
whereby many would be hurt and some die.
What option did this blind person have? There he is with spit and
shads of grey on his face?
So off he tippity taps to get that filth off, like
someone who has egg on his face.

We aren’t told of that mans first moments of sighted euphoria.
We are only left with the after image when a flash has gone off,
in this case his dark life. If you wish to see a similitude you need
only look to another very similar incident, see ACTS 3

FIRST thing everyone wants to know of him is, what happened man?
They wanted to know if he had been a cozen fraud, or if he was some
one else they were mistaking for the blind beggar who sat there.
How is it that you can now see? Matt 13,
16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
17 For verily I say unto you,
That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things
which ye see,
and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

If you want to see, what does one need? Someone who can
provide one of two things, SIGHT and/or LIGHT.
Without either you are pretty much in the dark. For without
eyes, the light matters not and without light the eyes don’t matter.
Who provided that night first rather than light for that fellow?
And who then also provided the light in that fellow’s night?
Most of you will surely say Jesus. Well you would be wrong.
Can you see how you would have error’d in that?
Would you care?

Paulie wrote, as yet we see how? 1 COR.1, 23
As through an opaque glass.
Opaque glass is that white glass that allows a certain amount
of light through, like the whited light bulb, but one can’t see
through it to see the element, thus paradoxically, the images
on the other side can’t been seen with defined clarity.,
as the whited/opaque glass is occluding/blocking the lights
full return.

Our eyes function as prisms, allowing a measure of ambient
light as well reflected light through to pool at the back of the eye
to form an image, which is inverted on the retina, that now translates
that information to our mind. Our eyes are like modems. A non
functioning modem won’t allow you to connect to the internet.
And our eyes if they don’t work, won’t be able to connect us
to the VISUAL SPECTRUM.
The words we read from the page are but a reflection of light, and
thus 1COR.13,23
For as yet we see as in a mirror dimly, but then, there in GOD’s
ever loving present, or our future, we shall see clearly, as like
folks who converse face to face rather than, say, over cyberspace.
No more barriers to hinder sight, as once they were, either natural
or man made, by the blinded who raised barriers to safeguard themselves
from falling down.

But as we age, our sight often gets impaired, our lens may cloud up
in what is termed CATARACTS, like the white opaque fast moving
waters, or our eyes may cloud up, with ghosts chasing across the
light like scudding clouds, this is termed GLAUCOMA, where the
small capillaries leak blood into the eyeball and these clots then
float like debris and sometimes merging like a logjam and
thus blocking the entering light.

Jesus said, the eyes are the windows to/for the soul. John 9,41
They thought they were free even though they thought they could
see clear, but they weren’t excused.
Jesus also said, If the eye is sound--- Matt 6,22+23, it will what?
FILTER through the information without benting or skewing it.
SOUND may mean, hale as in healthy or trained, to see as like a
telescope, or microscope, being able to zoom to a sharp focal
point, and seeing the detail otherwise might well missed.

Jesus also noted, WALK in the light, so that you are able to avoid
the pitfalls that the blind stumble on too readily, or where the
blind are tappity tapping their dance of death unawares.

Does the world want to see? I believe it does.

But we Christians haven’t been good reflectors or refractors of
the LIGHT we call Jesus, and so they have lost interest in our
brand of self serving blindness/hypocrisy.
Could something else be holding them back, as are also so many
believers from seeing with clarity? Isaiah 6, 9-11

GOD is holding many back from sight, from seeing just as HE
held pharaoh, these Pharisee’s of John 9 and that fellow until
GOD beamed in the laser to cut through the occluding mess.
Jesus was that engineering technician whom GOD rocketed
out to amend more than just one myopic Hubbled dope.

People, we can’t make anyone see if GOD isn’t willing that they
should see, like the reluctant of heart, the double minded/doubters
and the naysayers- the unbelievers.
Their reception is much like today’s recent conversion from ANALOG
to DIGITAL television,
LIGHT is only for the WILLING and EQUIPED.

I read a story once about mans climb down from the jungles heights,
the trees to the edge of the great open expanse, the plains and steppes,
where the light was so INTENSE and so few places of darkness to hide in.
Where there was so much life abounding, moving here and there.
The fearful stayed hidden in the cool dank dark lest they be seen.
Those fearful are still with us these days,
Are we of the fearful, fearing the open exposure of the noonday
sun, hidden away in our cloisters where few get to see our goings
on?
Or are we of the SIGHTED able to take our place in the GREATER
OPENED place?
The light beacon set like a candle to the spelunker is neither large
or small, it is simply LIGHT shining forth.
The spelunker is very much dependant on light as he/she wiggles
like a worm in the bowels of this earth through some very tight
breaches to reach the next chamber.

Are you a beacon on the hill, in the night attracting the moths
to the promised warmth?

Few of us ever have experienced total privation of our five senses.
Yet so many never develop their SIXTH sense of, love as gifted
from above, to see with ones heart all there is beyond the limits
so many are confining themselves to.
TASTE, TOUCH, SMELL, SOUND, and SIGHT.
We may be hindered in these in some manner, but few are we that
are limited in all these totally, unless we are in a COMA.
ARE YOU IN A COMA, waiting to awaken?
If you were suddenly released from your stygian isolation
how would you react? How would others react to you?

Remember your first moments of REBIRTH into LIGHT.
And compare how far you’ve come, or how much you may
have already once more lost.

Are we in a coma? Unfortunately, the answer for many, insofar as their ability to perceive God's Way is ,Yes!

"Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:

For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them." Matt 13:13-15

AMEN AMADEUS,
For people's hearts are waxed gross.
I see them either in one of three categories,
1- Like those of the Sanhedrin, righteous by the way they were trained
to think, these wear the rose tinted glasses and can't see the darkness
for all is rosy no matter what, or
2- like Martha sister of Mary, who was so inundated with the cares of their
daily toil , these are they who couldn't afford to get rose tinted shades
and those see only darkness, or
3- they can't do otherwise, because like poor sheep they look to the
TITLED and HONORED of those peers whom they esteem of kindred spirit,
these are they who flick about like a candle flame in a breeze looking for the
lee in the moment.
LUKE wrote, LET NOT SURFEITING undo your knighting, Luke 21,34
and I see many who have grown tired of beating our fists on closed doors
and nobody responding to the hail.
Hence why I believe it is time THIS FAITH and any others which promote
LOVE, GENEROSITY, MERCY, COMPASSION, JUSTICE,and PEACE be hidden for
a time so that those of the NIGHT can see all that it isn't.
But so long as one can like a hart dart back and forth one will never appreciate
what GOD has offered many many times to the wilfully SELFISH.
