Default The 'Terms and Conditions' trap

On the TV this morning they were talking about the unacceptability of the trend to demand acquiescence to voluminous gobbledegook terms and conditions before anything can be purchased or signed up to on the internet.

How many of us read the terms and conditions before we tick the box to say that we have done so?

For my part I admit to never doing so.....I’d never get anywhere if I did.
Even after you have enlarged them sufficiently for them to be legible you’d need to be solicitor to understand the implications and some of them cannot be unscrambled even by a solicitor.

I didn’t catch all that was being said but I’m sure that out of the corner of my ear I even heard it said that by ticking some boxes you were agreeing to your personal details being ‘sold’ on to ‘harvesters’ of such which is why we get so many unsolicited approaches.

That could even be used to facilitate fraudulent identity theft.

Who’ll follow me into anarchy?

We are by being citizens of our nation and our world are in a "trap" already, without having been given the opportunity to decline because of what was written in the fine print.

This is why our only way of security is in Jesus. This doesn't mean security from all the pitfalls in this world. We will fall down because our flesh is weak. We will, however, if we trust in Him, be secure in Him in all that is really important in the eyes of God, because He is strong.
