I don't understand why so many teens are having sex. I am a teen (14) but I've decided to wait until i'm married. I don't have a promise ring yet, but i've already committed it to God. I think it will make Him happy. :]]. I still don't get it though. On Friday, I heard of 2 of my friends becomijng pregnant. They were 2 ppl i never would have expected! I just don't see why some of us take the risk. This doesn't really have anything to do with God. Well it sorta does, but still.

Its best to wait. The word of God says to flee fornication.

One thing I have learned in my walk with the Lord is that His commandments that He gives is only to protect us. To keep us from harm. God knows the consequences of the things that He tells us not to do. It's just like with parents telling their kids "Don't play out in the middle of the road!" Parents only tell their kids not to do that because the children may get ran over by a car. The parents are only trying to protect their children. Its the same with God. He wants to protect us. Keep us from harm!

I'm sure you know that there are many repercussions from fornication. As you see with your two friends becoming pregnant. Unfortunately, they are about to learn the REAL responsibilities of parenthood at such a young age. Being a single mom is one of the hardest thing a woman will ever face. Be sure to pray for your friends; they are going to need much prayer in the coming years.

I want to encourage you and bless you for making a stand. I know that the Lord will greatly reward you for your commitment to Him. Bless the Lord with all that you have.

It may be hard for you to understand why so many teens are having sex yet we don't see into thier lives. Your teen years are difficult years to begin with and then given the huge amount of peer pressure which exists for teens today; as an adult I don't find it surprising. I see little girls wanting to wear things and do things which little girls didn't want to do years ago.
We live in a fast-paced world.
It sounds like you have a relationship to God and that you have chosen to get close to Him and live for Him which is awesome. God will honor your commitment to him. Someone has taught you about God. Maybe these other girls don't know God like you do or maybe there is something which is missing in their life like not feeling loved or they feel insecure and unwanted. There are many different reasons young people participate prematurely in sexual relationships; they don't understand their minds or emotions aren't ready to engage in sex. Also, the immaturity doesn't allow them think of the consequences of pregnancy or parenthood and then it happens. It could be any number of reasons.
I read in another thread that you are starting a prayer journal; perhaps in this journal you could also save some pages for your feelings to God about these situations as you would pray for these girls. Maybe you could even talk to them sometime about your relationship to God if they don't know him already or encourage them.

It is best to wait. A women cannot regain her virginity. That must mean something. Once lost, something really important has been lost, something significant. When a women looses her virginity, there is a little blood that flows. Blood that indicates that she has sacrificed her body for somebody. That somebody must be her husband. She has opened her body up for that person to enter into the most intimate parts of her. She can never return to her previous form. Like the holy of holies was reserved for the presence of god, so your viriginity is reserved for the man you will marry. And if you dont marry, there will be an innocence in you, that is prescious and is often quite obvious compared to others who have lost their innocence by treated it with contempt.

I believe that it is because most people want to have a special friendship
with someone they can call their own.
Someone they can build their future around.
Someone that they can open their life up to and share all things with.
When they do this they sometimes lose control of their emotions and
in this moment of weakness do things that they normally would not do.

Therefore they end up pregant, not because they are pure evil.
But because of making many little mistakes they lose selfcontrol.
They will still need you as a friend PLEASE try not to judge them
try only to be a good friend. If not they may end up all alone, just them
and their baby.

I find it hard to help you with this for I never had any daughters of my own
but because of Christ love for us all I felt compelled to try.

God Bless you, taking a stand. Young people in love seem to feel a desperate need to be together. They feel like they deserve their love. They deserve to have pure love like you are witnessing in your walk with God.The things they do not see is the pain and hurt for being used. Tough people hurt too. The hardest thing to see was the hurt and pain of the women and men in different relationships coming out of abuse and gang lifestyles. I have seen this behavior begin as kind of a independent sexuality thinking from promiscuity and then cross over thinking where they identify with who they are fearing they are becoming. I never had sex because I chose to stay a virgin until marriage... what you doing is a good way to go because of certain complications you could have that would change your life forever. My sister who's turning 18 this year is a teen mom at age 14 4 years ago and she kept the baby but not raising her well. This baby is my adorable little niece Jadan Sky Toliver. If only I could raise her on my own because of what my sister and the family are doing around her. One day, my sister will realize her fatal mistakes.
