| | | Seven amazing words..... Words are an amazing thing. There is power in them. Power to hurt. Power to heal. Power to cause doubt. Power to release faith. Power to cause the Red Sea to split open. Power to call Lazarus from the grip of death. Power to chase satan with a simple "It is written..." But there are seven words that will ring far greater and for far longer in our ears than any other words uttered in history. These seven words will bring a joy like we have never previously experienced. They will sum up as a culmination our entire Christian walk and grant us freedom from death, hell, pain, tears, old age, sickness and defeat. What are these seven magical words, these seven words of power and glory? "Well done, thou good and faithful servant." I pray we, with singleness of eye, be found walking pleasing to our Lord at His appearing. Nothing is worth the crushing pain of not hearing our sweet Jesus utter these precious words to us when OUR book is opened at the end of our days. | Today

"For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God" Heb 11:10
If we are looking for that same city with all of our being for all of our lives, then perhaps we too will hear those seven words, Bruce! |

| | | Re: Seven amazing words..... I wonder these days what kind of arrogance has beset the church to think that they can serve god. Bring him something, like he needs it. Like god is deficient in some way and needs us to bring him something or do something for him. We are commanded to serve god yes, but its always with the strong reminder, that unless he works through us we are working to no avail, and there is no serving going on at all. The only works that god recognises is his own. Good and faithfull servant means this to me...it means that you were good at letting god do what he wants through you, and faithfull in the process of him doing it, so that GOD's glory may be revealed through you.
Many people today feel that they are doing what they can for the kingdom. They feel it is their duty to do something in the kingdom, anything. God will bless it. But god wont. God will bless what he started. And i have come to realise, that god works through fewer people than we once thought. God is not going to compete with us for airtime. God is not going to settle for advertisement time while we steal the real show. Serving god means you bring him this...an empty useless vessel, which he does not need, but that he can transform into a useful instrument as he works through you. Without him you can do nothing, because by yourself you are useless. And that is how it ought to be, if you were useful all by yourself, you would think that you can bring god something he apparantly needs. Of course all he wants is an empty vessel. Empty of ambition and dreams and goals. Instead ready to do whatever god wants to do with it. Its painful to let go of our dreams and hopes and goals, all which have been birthed in the flesh. But gods work through us, gives much more hope, and far more satisfaction. |

It is to submit ourselves to Him; it is to give Him the reins of our life so that He can work in us and through us. God has limited Himself by His own Word. We must surrender back to Him all that He has given us, including our right to make our own decisions.
"When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?
But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible." Matt 10:25-26
"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." James 4:7
"Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up." James 4:10
"Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel." Ps 78:41
