| | Re: With what bodies are we raised? Well it would be pure speculation I think, but I would guess creatures of spirit, with no inherent bodies, but perhaps the ability to shape our spirit into a body (substance or not unsure) if we felt the need to.

| | | Re: With what bodies are we raised? It is my understanding that when I'm resurrected my spirit will join again with my body, but that body will be glorified and perfected. It will not be quickened at that point by blood, but by Spirit. I will look just as I do now. In other words, my resurrection will be patterned after the Savior's, whose body was raised in the resurrection perfect and glorified. |

| | | Re: With what bodies are we raised? Greetings James,
I choose to keep it simple and stick with the basics. Nothing of this world can enter into the kingdom of heaven so that rules out the mortal/physical body. It appears more than obvious to me that we keep our own unique personalities and therefore are recognized by those who knew us in this life. Perhaps we even keep our own unique 'mannerisms'. If that be the case, and angelic 'bodies' have arms/legs, then I can picture someone standing with his left forearm across his midsection, right elbow resting on his left hand, right thumb tucked under his chin, one finger (or was it two?) on his cheeckbone. Then I could say: "Hey, there's Jack Benny."

| | Re: With what bodies are we raised? Well, let's think about Christ after resurrection. The disciples didn't recognize him at first, but there's indications that His body image was similar to His physical one. Glorification probably accounts for the issue of recognition. Then you have Him being able to move through material matter, so the physical matter of His body was changed some how. I would suppose (but ya know about supposes and roses) that we will experience a similar manifestation of a glorified body.
