Is it possible that when He returns the world rejects Jesus?
Rev 16:13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs [come] out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.


Rev 16:14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, [which] go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

Rev 16:16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.
Rev 19:19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
Clearly the nations attack Israel and Jesus. Why?
Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.


Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Would Jews teach in Jesus name no way, its not Jews being rejected.
Would Arabs teach in Jesus name Not a chance. So its not Arabs being rejected.
The only group this could be are Christians who taught in His Name.
Yet Jesus says to the Christians...


Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Modern Christians are astray from the Old testament teachings.

Mat 22:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

The new testament was not written yet so He was talking about the old testament . Jesus never quoted from the new testament but proved all things from the old testament can you.?
2Pe 3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
2Ti 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.


2Ti 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,


2Ti 3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,


2Ti 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;


2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
....HAVING A FORM OF GODLINESS MEANS THEY ARE BELIEVERS.....

Dang Nab IT, you took the subject for my next article. I was writing how we cannot back up the new testament with new testament scripture because their was no new testament. In fact, we do not even have all the books considered sacred form the Old Testament either, for example The Chronicle of the Kings of Israel and the Chronicle of the Kings of Judah.

The article I am writing goes into some detail about what the Religious Hebrew were at Jesus' time, and what they are now. Several books of Jewish wisdom has been created, For Example the Book of Tobit.

Anyway, thank you for the post it is a good way to make people consider their faith.

I suspect these are the virgins who slept but had no oil. They had the form down, but denied the power of it by their lives of worldliness. No everyone who says "Lord, lord, will enter heaven but He who does the will of the father in heaven."

I would say they are believers in God & Christ....and also religious in that they are bound to a false theology in which they vainly imagine is the truth....yet, is only a "form of godliness" which actually denies the power of God in Christ, and causes pridefullness, lack of true affection, etc.

To Laurie, you also wrote, If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable.
Somebody quoted that to me long time ago and I looked at the verse and context and I found out that Paul was referring to if there is no resurrection then we are of all men the most pitiable.
