| | | Gods Truth? Is Gods word no longer a factor in how a professing Christian should live his or her lifestyle?
If Gods word says a certain act is a sin, is that no longer considered something the person who is professing to be a Christian should NOT continue doing?
If Gods word clearly teaches in both the Old Covenant AND the New Covenant that a lifestyle is an abomination in the sight of God, is that a Biblical fact that should be ignored by professing Christians?
James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
If we are not meant to obey one of Gods laws then we are certainly NOT meant to obey any of Gods laws, are we?
That being said if a theif can BE a Christian and continue being a thef, then can't a child molester still molest children and BE a Christian?
If a homosexual can continue BEING a homosexual and still BE a Christian, then can't a murderer STILL continue BEING a murderer and still BE a Christian?
The fact of it all is this, IF one can continue living in sin and BE a Christian then what purpose is there in getting saved in the first place?
If we can still purposefully sin and still BE Christians then Jesus died for nothing.
None of us sin by accident it is a wilfull act that WE all personally choose to do, we are not forced into it........

Sin is sin. Any sin. All sin. God's word says that if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, then there remains no more sacrifice for sin, but a certain fearful looking for of judgement. Is this correct? Ok then, God also says that with EVERY temptation, God makes a way of escape, that we may be able to bear it, right? So every time we sin, God has an escape for us for it is God's will that we walk holy and that sin shall NOT have dominion over us. If we continue on and sin, what are we? We are wilfull sinners, and in serious danger. We must finally accept the fact that there MUST be 100% deliverance in the gospel or we are dead while we live. Listen, the pharisees did keep the 10 commandments to the letter! But Jesus said our righteousness had better exceed theirs! Heck, we do not even keep the 10 commandments! This is why God cried out: "Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then is the health of the daughter of my people healed only slightly, saying "Peace, peace", when there is no peace." There are only two safe places for our souls in the universe that I know of. 1) The man who is holy and freed from the power of sin: "The name of the Lord is a strong and mighty tower and the RIGHTEOUS runs in and is safe." 2) The sinner who beats his breast before God day and night saying: "God, be merciful to me, a sinner" Any place else and satan wanders as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Yes, homosexuals, and thieves and robbers will not enter heaven, you are very correct. But neither will those that love the world, or those who are jealous, or prideful, or have anger, or that that lust, for they are adulterers, or ANYONE who is a sinner. It sounds harsh. it sounds impossible. But God has made an easy way to defeat sin in our lives if we will but believe it! Do you see what a predicament we are in? We MUST be holy! We MUST have PURE hearts for only those that are pure in heart will see God. Where does that leave us? Our only hope is to do what God commanded and believe His promises about us. THIS is the way to defeat the devil in EVERY area and walk pleasing to God, all day, every day. This path is not for the wise, nor for the strong, but for those who have seen fully that no matter how hard they try, they cannot walk the walk with 100% obedinece and 100% purity of thoughts. It is for those that are broken of their self confidence, it is for those who truly hunger after God and thirst after purity of thoughts. It is for the weak. God help us to see..... | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
