Default According to knowledge

Some people do not understand, that we "are" to worship God in knowledge.

Romans 10:1 is talking about Israel

Romans 10:2 - "For I bear them record that they (Israel) have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge"

Romans 10:3 - "For they being ignorant of God's righteousness , and going about to establish their own righeousness, have not submitted themselves unto the rightousness of God"

We today in our day and time , within the Church, have come to this "same" point that took place in the first century church. That people, or oganizations, try and worship God with their own rightousness , instead of the righteousness of God.

Drop down to Romans 10:14 - "How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed ? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard ? and how shall they hear without a preacher ?

Romans 10:15 - "And how shall they preach, except they be sent ? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things !

Two things I would like to touch one here. One - In John 4:24 it tells us to whorship God in Spirit and in truth. Knowledge is truth if spoken by one who has been sent by God to preach. There are many teachers and preachers out there in the world that claim to be something that they are not. They claim to speak for God , yet God did not send them to preach. There are many false teachers and false pastors and false prophets out there in the world. They are they to deceive and cause division and bring you as far away from the truth as possible.

Second, my question is - as to "whom" do you listen too ? Someone who sounds like they know what they are talking about. Someone who makes you feel good after going to one of their sermons . Or someone who challenges you to study and learn the truth ? And preaches from a foundation that never wavers ! Where is your individual heart on what a preacher says ? A true preacher of God will teach you , but he will also challenge you. Lazy people want their preachers to teach them while they sit there and do nothing. The Word of God states - be ye not hearers of the Word only, but doers as well. Being just a listener , who hears only, is not going to make you grow spiritually. You must be a doer as well.

But, you must be a doer of the truth, not a doer of some peachers imagination. Or some preacher who puts you back under the law. These men were not called out of God to teach and preach.

We must become knowledgeable of God and His Word, so that we can worship God, in Spirit and in truth.

I was one of those lazy people you speak of for years...one thing about being in that situation...the ones teaching you, do not encourage you to study for yourself, they encourage you to come to church (even tell you it is a sin if you do not come).

Now, because God has awaken me from my slumber, it is hard to trust teachers, preachers. I lean more to the Holy Spirit teaching me and confirming what is taught. It is still fustrating to read from the Bible and not understand some things...but in time, if I wait for the Holy Spirit..in His time not mine the truth is revealed. Once the Holy Spirit confirms a truth, I protect it and do not let satan(through unbelievers etc.) steal it from me.

It is an exciting journey that I am on with my Lord and Savior!

For years I listened to the wrong teaching...and I am still in the process of filtering a lot of it out. I am cautious! But open to hear from others...and I wait for the Holy Spirit to confirm it!

Studying and learning the scriptures can be exciting as well as very rewarding. If one had to choose 4 roads down which to travel. Knowing that only one of the 4 roads was the correct road , in order to reach the correct destination. Wouldn't you or anyone else want to know , without a doubt, that you have chosen the correct road to go down ?

We plan out so many things in our lives. Our finances, our jobs, our health, our plans for a vacation. We plan these things out with the greatest of care. Yet, many do not plan out their own salvation with trembling and fear.

We can choose the long road, or the wrong road, or the road that goes in a total opposite direction from the correct destination. Or we can choose the short road , which is the easy road and the correct road from which we will reach the correct destination. Now, when I say easy road, I do not mean spiritually easy, but easy from the point of view, that it gives you peace of mind. Stress makes your destination the more difficult road to go down. Stress comes about when we try to put our burdens upon our own sholders.

When we do not ask God to help us and work with us, we burden the trip with our own measly abilities. Most of us are lazy, and I am no exception for the most part. But can we aford to be lazy ?

Sometimes we put forth a great effort, but our effort is meaningless, because our effort is to please ourselves and not God.

There are many who teach the Word of God. From the many denominations , or the TV evangilists. The variety is almost endless. Yet , from the Word of God , there is only one road to go down . Either something is righteous or it is unrighteous with God. No matter what the subject we discuss on these forums. It is either light or it is darkness. It is either the truth or it is a lie.

The Word tells us to "work". Either work with our hands the things that are good, so that you may give to those who have need. Or, work out our salvation with trembling and fear. There are good works or there are evil works. There is no inbetween !

Search the scriptures to see if those things are so or not ! Don't be lazy ! The effort is rewarding.

I want light, truth...I want to be on the right road!

I am tired of being led astray....It has been a struggle trying to hold on to what you were taught and clinging to change through the truth of His word.

My laziness has cost me many years of not walking in truth! My pride kept me from the truth! To be humble and open can also be dangerous......
