Default Believersí faith must endure until the end of their lives to be saved

Continuing belief-faith is necessary for continuing salvation-eternal life:
“… whoever believes [continues to believe] in Him may have
[may continue to have] eternal life. For God so loved the world,
that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes [continues to believe] in Him
should not perish but have [continue to have] eternal life.” (John 3:15-16)

These verbs in Greek and English are in the present tense … always believing and having!
Extra: IMO, the "whoever"s were given a seed of faith by God so they could believe!

“He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy,
and blameless, and above reproach in His sight —
IF indeed you continue in the faith … and are not moved away
from the hope of the gospel” (Colossians 1:22-23)

“It is this Good News (the gospel) that saves you,
IF you continue to believe the message I told you” (1 Corinthians 15:1-2)

“So we must listen very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may drift away from it
… every act of disobedience was punished. So what makes us think we can escape,
IF we ignore this great salvation” (Hebrews 2:1-3)

“And we are God’s house,
IF we keep our courage and remain confident in our hope in Christ …
Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from
the living God … so that none of you will be deceived by sin and hardened against God.
For IF we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed,
we will share in all that belongs to Christ.” (Hebrews 3:6,12-14)

IF we endure, we shall also reign with Him.” (2 Timothy 2:12)

“… follow the example of those who are going to inherit God’s promises
because of their faith and endurance.” (Hebrews 6:11-12)

“Patient endurance is what you need, so that you will continue to do God’s will.
Then you will receive all that he has promised. … ‘And my righteous ones will live by faith.
But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away.’ But we are not like those
who turn away from God to their own destruction (eternal death).” (Hebrews 10:36-39)

“Stay true to what is right (the true gospel) for the sake of your own salvation
and the salvation of those who hear you.” (1 Timothy 4:16)

“… work out your own salvation with fear and trembling … holding fast the word of life,
so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.”
(Philippians 2:12,16)
If they fail to endure, Paul has wasted his efforts!

“you have been grieved by various trials that the genuineness of your faith … though it is
tested by fire … receiving the end of your faith — the salvation of your souls.” (1 Peter 1:7-9)

This has nothing to do with rewards …
“God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will
receive the crown of (eternal) life that God has promised to those who love him.” (James 1:12)

Believe me, "the crown of life" refers to eternal life.

4 times in John 14, Jesus said (paraphrasing): “Those who love Me will obey (keep) My commandments.”

“God’s holy people must endure persecution patiently, obeying his commands
and maintaining their faith in Jesus.” (Revelation 14:12)

Because of all of the above verses, this also refers to eternal salvation …
“But the one who endures to the end (of his/her life) will be saved.”
(Matthew 10:22, Matthew 24:13, Mark 13:13)

Everything is CONDITIONAL … so …
Those who endure in the faith to the end keep their righteous standing with God!

Will you be ready for the end-times test?

You will need to endure in your faith:
● during the upcoming terrible Christian persecution
● during the pressure to take the mark of the beast

Jesus promises: “IF you remain faithful even when facing death,
I will give you the crown of (eternal) life” (Revelation 2:10)

“And the (first) beast was allowed to wage war against God’s holy people and
to conquer them … This means that God’s holy people must endure persecution
patiently and remain faithful … He (the second beast) required everyone – small
and great, rich and poor, free and slave – to be given a mark on the right hand
OR on the forehead. And no one could buy or sell anything without that mark …”
(Revelation 13:7-17)

“Anyone who worships the beast and his statue OR who accepts his mark on
the forehead OR on the hand -- must drink the wine of God’s anger. It has been
poured full strength into God’s cup of wrath. And they will be tormented with fire
and burning sulfur … The smoke of their torment will rise forever and ever …”
(Revelation 14:9-11)

All those who give their allegiance to the antichrist (Satan) will pay the ultimate price!

Yeah, tell me about it ...
Very few believers accept the dire warnings in the NT about
habitual unrepentant sinners not being on their way to heaven.
Dat's just a nice way of sayin' they're on their way to hell.
These people include BACs.

Here's one of my very favorites ...
Revelation 21:7-8
"He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.
BUT the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars
shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

Everyone in the world is included in this group above.

And just guess who the cowardly are?
They include those who fall away during Christian persecution,
and also those who submit to taking the dreaded mark of the beast.

FTSA: Fun times straight ahead.

I try to think about being an adopted son of the Father, and the joy of being in God's family, and the gift & beauty of life. If that is where my head is today, then tomorrow will be fine.

No, sorry to say ... that's not enough!
Sounds like hyper-grace to me.
But thou aren't of the hyper-grace persuasion.

What does your response above have to do with such verses as ...

“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction,
and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way
which leads to life, and there are few who find it." (Matthew 7:13-14)

"Work out your salvation with fear and trembling." (Philippians 2:12)?

I am curious.

"Work out your salvation with fear and trembling." (Philippians 2:12)?

I am curious.

How about these Verses?

1 John 2:9
He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.

1 John 2:11
But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

1 John 3:15
Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

1 John 4:20
If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

I am not witnessing the Love of the Father in you towards your brother, only condemnation.

While it may be that Terry does not have the same Doctrinal beliefs as you do, it does not mean by any stretch of the imagination, that he or any Catholic for that matter, doesn't Love the Lord Jesus Christ, as much as you
have professed you do.

Therefore you can lay off the Catholic bashing, were all brothers in Christ.
Isn't it bad enough the world hates us, must we also hate our brothers as well?

JIM

I know that's not enough. I never said it was. But your focus on this stuff to the exclusion of all else takes the joy out of Christianity. You have no joy and you project no joy.

You may not know this but you are closer to the Catholic position regarding works and obedience then you are to the traditional protestant position.

Look: There are rules in every family: The kids need to take out the trash and mow the lawn and all that. But is that all they think about every day? Or do they think more about playing ball with dad or the next vacation or whatever.

I am just saying that while I am obedient and understand the consequences of not being so, that is not where my head is focused all day long, and it should not be where my head is focused all day long. You will not win anybody over by being Mr. Doom And Gloom.

FYI, Father God and the Lord Jesus have been been heavy-duty warning
church members (esp. lately) through Their prophets and watchmen
that the churches are FAST ASLEEP and preaching false gospels.
Here is a quick little excerpt from one of the warnings
(please sit down while reading this) ... "shepherds leading multitudes to hell".

You all might just be wise to take this to the Lord in prayer
... instead of finding fault with me ... I'm just the messenger!

Where has this messenger displayed hate towards him?
Have you read his posts to me?

IMO, you're the one who hates ... you hate the NT verses which I have quoted for you.
You asked for them, and I gave them to you, and you did not thank me for them.
And now you hate the verses and me.

That no one has commented on the righteousness and obedience threads
demonstrates to me the condition of the members of this forum.
C'mon people, it's time to get with God's program of salvation.
