Feel like losing motivation and inspiration going forward? Do not be afraid, you are not alone. Everybody feels this way from time to time. What do you need at those times? You do need some solid foundation to stand on and some source of energy which you can tap into and regain your strength. I found out that the source and foundation is the Word of God – the Holy Bible. And I want to share with you a few scriptures that will help you to get you back your inspiration. Let the Bible speak for itself this time without my comments.
The first one is from Isaiah 40:27-31:”Why do you complain, Jacob? Why do you say, Israel, “My way is hidden from the Lord; my cause is disregarded by my God”? Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lordwill renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.“
The second one is from Exodus 19:4:”‘You yourselves have seen what I did to Egypt, and how I carried you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself.“
The third is from Deuteronomy 31:6:”Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
The fourth is from Psalm 23:4:”Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.“
The last verse is from Isaiah 51:12:” “I, even I, am he who comforts you. Who are you that you fear mere mortals, human beings who are but grass...“.
I do believe that the verses have raised youabove your negative emotions. If they haven’t, try to read over and over again till you start feeling inspiration. The Word of God will do its’ work and bear fruit in your soul and spirit. Let Him do the job. He is more than able. Next time you feel discouraged pick up the Book and start reading specific verses to regain what you have lost. You will be successful.
As the Holy Bible is the book that I practically read every day (for twenty years now) I have a lot of Bible verses that encourage me in difficult times when I get discouraged or start having doubts regarding certain things that Bible is very clear about. I do reread those verses again and again and they never lose meaning for me. There are a lot of them and I would have to write dozens of articles to mention all of them. Let me give you just three verses this time.
The first is from Hebrews 13:5-6:”Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” We sometimes feel lonely and forsaken by God. But it is not true. We cannot trust our feelings. They are very changeable and they contradict to what the Bible says. He promised to stay with us forever. Humans cannot do anything bad to you if God does not permit that to happen.
The second verse is from 1 John 1:9:”If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” All of us sin. Some sin more, some less. Everybody needs God’s forgiveness though. The best part is that God forgives any sin that we commit if we confess it and repent. He not only forgives, but also cleanses us from all unrighteousness. So, if you feel unclean because of you badly sinned, remember that there is no sin too great for God to forgive. Praise God!
The last verse is from Psalm 23:1:”The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.” I can say that the entire 23 Psalm is wonderful. However, if I think that I lack something I like to remember the verse. God is my provider. He helps me to live from day to day giving me ideas how to make money and support my family. He is my good shepherd. A good shepherd does not leave his sheep in trouble. He will not do it with me. He will not do it with you. He will guide us, protect us and provide for us.
