God Works or Dead Works

Our works through our ability= dead works

We, as the human race, still doesn't "get it". We rely so much on our capacity for understanding and knowledge that we toss out our Creator's Wisdom and knowledge. Even those that seemingly possess intimate wisdom fall short of God's wisdom. Let's see the "Grace Controversy", what is grace, what is mercy? I've often heard the saying "I've sinned, Thank God for His Grace". Wow, talk about a complete misunderstanding of Grace. That statement falls under God's mercy not grace. If I'm walking in God's Grace I won't sin........simple as that. Grace is unmerited favor, yes! Even more than that grace is God's Abilities, his power! When we truly walk in Grace we are walking in God's power through Jesus' finished work. Let's look at a few definitions what does Paul mean when he talks of walking in the flesh. "In the flesh" means that we are trusting and relying on our own abilities. "In the Spirit" means relying or depending on The Spirit of God or the Holy Ghost. Dead works is any work that relies on my own ability. Legalism is anything that depends upon my performance. Example, if I think I find favor with God, by studying the Bible everyday. Should I study the bible, absolutely! But, I do not get "brownie" points for it, because it's to my benefit, anyway. Another example is, if I think I lose points with God for not studying the Bible. Take the focus off of self and put the focus on Jesus finished work through which I have God's Grace.

Now let's put all this together it's simple if I am truly walking in God's Grace (His Abilities), then I cannot sin. In our walk with the Lord there is sin consciessness then there is Christ consciessness. Sin conscienceness is white knuckling, trying not to sin by my own ability. I compare it to a cigerette smoker trying to quit. This person is forever trying not to smoke, the cigerette still controls him/her. When walking in God's Grace, the smoker completely forgets about the cigerette, because they are using God's Power not their own. We hear so much about not sinning, but we don't hear about how not to sin. If we are striving not to sin, then we are walking in sin consciessness not in God's Grace. For a better understanding of this go to Dr. Jim Richards site at  http://jimrichards.tv/

Mercy is not receiving what I deserve. When I step out of Grace and sin, then I receive God's mercy through Jesus' Finished Work.

One eye on Satan, Our whole Body focused on Our Savior

Is Satan real? Yes! Can He tempt us? Yes! We know from the Gospel, that he and his unclean spirits are real.

Luke 10 17-19 17 And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, “Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through Thy name.”18 And He said unto them, “I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Yes, we should be aware of Satan not beware of him, he is our advesary not God's. Satan is no match for God. Jesus as a man conquered him, through His and Our Father. Jesus had no fear of him, but instead would order him around. Mathew 4:10 Then said Jesus unto him, "Get thee hence, Satan! For it is written: `Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve."

Satan loves times we take our focus off of God and the grace of Jesus our Savior. For instance, I have heard from some that we should pray in our thoughts so the spying devil will not know our weaknesses. Satan was around when God created us.......he knows our weaknesses, already. He knew how to successfully tempt Adam and Eve. In fact, the spoken word has more power than many of us realize. Jesus spoke out loud to Satan sending him away. I have also heard that speaking in tongues is a way of communicating to God in a way Satan doesn't understand. That is wrong as well, God doesn't need to hide communication with us. Faith is our shield against the fiery darts of Satan and company. Recently, there were burning impure thoughts in my head, which were not my thoughts, but one of his fiery darts. I simply read a passage of scripture out loud and the thoughts ceased. Jesus has already conquered him and tossed him out of Heaven. In focusing on him we give him unwarranted power. Instead, we should be focusing on the power and Glory of God. As believers we have the power in Jesus' Name to cast out demons  15 And He said unto them, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature.

16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe: In My name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 they shall take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them. They shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”
19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, He was received up into Heaven, and sat at the right hand of God.
20 And they went forth and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the Word with signs following. Amen.

Be mindful of him and his minions, but don't mince words or thoughts of him..........cast them out!
Simply arm yourself with the weapons of a Christian Soldier, here's our checklist: ephesians 6:11-18 Breastplate of Righteousness, Belt of Truth, Shield of Faith, Helmet of Salvation, Sword of the Spirit, Feet prepared with the Gospel!

Standing in the Gap (Continued)

Yesterday, was cold yet the Love of God was clearly evident and The Holy Spirit was present. There were 20 stations that had signs on what to pray for. Once the crowd had prayed at each station, we met back at the stadium. Where we heard a testimony, from a former addicted person. After this we had 10 preachers of different churches and denominations, pray. I could feel the presence of The Holy Spirit, in all it took 3 hours. This was truly a powerful and prayerful time! I could not help but think, if all communities did this, the changes would be overwhelming. This was done in three states and was very powerful. The power of prayer is so awesome. Our community has done this many times, it was the first time that I've been able to attend, because of my former condition. God willing, I will be attending many more, of these events.

Standing in the Gap

Today I am going to "Standing in the Gap", it is a march against The Spirit of Addiction, marching against drug and alcohol abuse. I am not marching against the person in addiction, but the spirit of addiction. My hand reaches prayerfully out in love to these people, for I was one. There is but one that can remove an addiction and that is God through Jesus. All the rehab centers, counselors will not do any good and hasn't. That is the human answer, when we quit leaning on our understanding and get On our knees praying and then lovingly reaching out with the Gospel, this is what heals. Showing God's Love and Power is what works. We have the answer in Jesus' Finished Work!

ELOHIM-The Power and Might of GOD

Let's take a look at the positive teachings of Jesus. (Mark 5:19 Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.) (Mark 5:34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.) (John 8:11 She said, No man, Lord and Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.)

The first scripture was the man with the 2000 devils, the second was the woman with the bleeding and thirdly the adulteress. In each of these cases Jesus showed both compassion and mercy. When Jesus healed or cast out demons, there was not a thirty minute speech of condemnation. There were simple words such as go and sin no more. Jesus had the sharpest words for the leaders of the day. We should be led by Jesus' life. A life of perfect faith never doubting The Father. Where in the Word is Jesus focused on himself not sinning, nowhere. He is tempted but always responded without stress or doubt. Instead Jesus focuses on sinners healing them, feeding them, and bestowing mercy on them. This is how we should be reaching out to sinners by healing, feeding and mercy. Indeed, in John 14:12  Jesus says"I tell you the truth, whoever believes in me will do the same things that I do. Those who believe will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father"

Our goals as believers should be perfect faith, to trust in God in all things through Jesus' Finished Work. God's Promises are for now: prosperity, health and all good things come from God. He is Our Proctector and Provider. I challenge all of us to let the Holy Spirit use us to heal, feed and be merciful to all people. This is how we bring others to accept Jesus, not by bullying and messages of condemnation. Let us perfect faith in ourselves so we can allow ourselves to be used to heal, cast out demons and reap a huge harvest In and Through Jesus.

God's True Power or the seducing powers of evil

We see it all around us, what is bad is good (to the world). Movies on Witchcraft, magic, vampyres, the illusion of power. Human heroes that rush in to save the day. So many get tantalized by the illusion. Harry Potter, an "innocent" boy is really a warlock with huge powers. Children and adults alike are swept into horoscopes, the witchboards, tarot cards: wishing for supernatural powers. Superhereo's which depict supernatural powers, Superman, Wonderwoman, whatever today' hereo's are. Our teenagers being drawn to the occult, it is such a tragedy.

Now for the flip-side of the coin. Where the True Power lies  is in God. We, as believers have access to it through the Finished Work of Jesus. It is far better and more supernatural than the evil forces can ever hope to accomplish. The forces of Satan offer only destruction. Yet, Jesus offers us True Power. Which is easier to destroy something or to heal something. Destruction is easy, step on a toy; what happens; it's in pieces. Now try to put it back together......hmmmmm not so easy. Yet, Jehovah-Rapha heals broken bodies ..........all the time.  It is True Believers In Christ that possess truly supernatural powers through Our Savior Jesus. Mark 16:17-18 "And those who believe will be able to do these things as proof: They will use my name to force out demons. They will speak in new languages. They will pick up snakes and drink poison without being hurt. They will touch the sick, and the sick will be healed." John 14:12 " I tell you the truth, whoever believes in me will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father".

Yet, most Christians haven't even moved past fighting not to sin. In Jesus we have the Power not to sin. Jesus conquered it all through His death, burial and RESURRECTION. True Believers have all the powers at their disposal to dispatch evil. It is time to get past the baby things, and into doing the real work. The real work is reaching into the carnal and plucking humans out of evil, sickness and death, Through Jesus Christ. The truth is In Christ we can perform these works, it's time that Believers accept, believe and do!
