After we wrote our last blog on miracles, I wonder if there was life after that! I've been through the most incideous affliction, that I couldn't write anymore blogs, until now. I was visiting a site where progress goes at snail pace. If you don't agree with the stablishment, you don't get in. But the Lord, who can widstand him, he always get his way. There was a blog about the controversial health care system, our President want to put in place.
But that is not what I wanted to talk about per-ser. I wanted to relate to how when Jesus fed the multitude in the wilderness with five loaves and two smal fish. I just kind of wondered if we really have that kind of faith today? Will a crisis have to come so our faith can be tested? Like a super oil shortage? Or I don't want to think what could be worst for the economy. But I'm comforted that the Lord will not let anything happen to his plan to preach the gospel.
The five loaves, the gospel message is food indeed and the two small fish are those amenities that come with our faith in God. Jesus said that heaven and earth will pass away but his word will never pass away. But the comfort is that God can still take care of us inpite of what gloom and doom bring. One key to faith is to believe and trust how magnificent and truly glorious God is indeed and able to accomplish his purpose in any circumstance.
So whatever your trouble is tonigh or this morning, Jesus still has all authority in heaven and earth to do his will and nobody can stop his love for us. So take comfort. Have peace. Give God thanks. Pray for each other. And pray that we can continue to preach the gospel and divulge the truth. Nothing gives God pleasure more than look out for us. So away Satan with your cares, fears and anxieties, and be certain that your days are counted! May you be blessed. Amen.
It's been a while since we visit our old freind LockedJournal. And like a close freind it is alway making you divulge thing you would tell anyone or say to I don't know who, your coach? Mother? Father? Pastor? Well so on. Well hello old freind? How yaw bin? I glad we got together today and just shoot the breeze on issues. What is on you mind? Files? Passwords? E-mail addresses? Yep life can be a drag!
I just kind of wonder how really helpless man is without God or namely Christ! I've been figuring that everything we think and do, if it's not from heaven, it's from you know who! Mr. Lucifer himself. The fact of the matter is that he has a lots of authority to bring havoc and ruin mens lives. Since the Garden of Eden he was give sway of the whole world to do his will. And it's funny how we 'treasure' freedom of speech and thought. But the fact of the matter is that we are not that free at all.
["...24And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
25In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
26And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will...]
That those who appose God are not really free to change their mind. Satan has lock and key on their neurons. What shall we do? We critisize and scold and rebuke. But really our subjects are helpless like zero control on what they believe. The word says that they are snared away to do the will of the devil who has held them captive. What a waste of pride to think that I'm in control...but really God directed every step I choose to take before I think about it. God directed my step or he lets Satan pick my next thought.
We don't like this kind of thought. But there's hope. The Word, The Truth can set you free. If there's a chaft of light with what I'm saying, the Lord is calling you to set you free, if you believe what the apostle Paul told Timothy, let by the Holy Spirit. You can be set free. And if Jesus set you free you shall be free indeed. May you be blessed. Amen.
This is certainly a good blog and good work. I like this statement,
"...It is that we have failed to be honest with ourselves as to our inability to be victorious doing it our way..."
God will never give us the victory over our enemies or our flesh so we can parade it with a sactifmonious aire of superiority over others who still stumble greatly and not less than what we indulge in.
God is transparent. His word is sure and fast. He says, "Love your neighbor as yourself.,,". And if we see ourselfves do wrong things even unspeakable ones, then why is it such a big thing when someone else does something perhaps unspeakable
Do we begin to say, well my sins are not like that 'gay' over there or that wife-beater down here or the felon in the hole. Yes since we begin to think we know Christ we fall very short on what he tells about human nature and that includes us.
Sometime in christian circles we take on the task to reform society and social crimes like drugs, alchoholism, perversion. murder, abortion, stem-cell research, crime against the environment... and so on. And we begin little by little to forget how really arrogant we really are?
Perhaps we say- well would never go to a church who worships idols, Oh! What falleness! 0r we spend hours looking at our bank account while the half of the world's children goes to bed hungry and do not know how to write their names.
But this isn't a commercial for you to give or what ever we think. The problem is that we don't really think and maybe really appreaciate from what place the Lord brought us from. Perhaps we are redeemed. But I tell the flesh is alive and well and more dangerous than before.
Now the flesh carries a bible. Why it's open season on anyone who does not believe the bible. Turn to the parable of the Pharisee and the Publican and look intently as what God says about those who trusted in themselves to be righteous and despised others. There's a sin called arrogance. It begins like a little plant called 'earned holiness'. We think that we can earn 'holy' points and earn a bat to hit someone on the head. This little devotion without sobriety, can turn a 'child of God' into a menace to society.
This is not a call to good evil or evil good or to condone sin in any form or degree, from lite to dark. But it's about like the lyric says, "...He ain't heavy...he's my brother..." And this is not a call to undermine the truth or everything we learned about doing things right. And there are religion who preach lies. We know that and they are out there. But we should take an honest accessment of how we really are and that we not very different than anyonw you ever met.
Perhaps you met someone who does not have your virtues or your philosophy or your wisdom or like we've said your holiness or rightesousness and sin is sin. But we must learn to give breaks once in while. God know people sin and do evil. But we must..must understand that our humanity is there only one and we are all the same in that. Our fragility is same for all of us. We just earnestly need to understand how to forgive. I eanestly believe we have to understand how humanity is really one.
If God has not revealed who lucky I am to be called by his name, I doubt that if I am redeemed in the first place. May you be blessed. Amen.
I was reading a blog from a friend on another site which she outlines how our President Obama, delegated a latin woman to the supreme court. We don't know what a woman's point of view and from a latin dimension. Latins are know to be strong Catholic with a sure emphasis on family and traditional marriage values. Certainly I could have never expected this to happen, but I would think our president is working on his term, breaking all sacred pillars and asherims of this society. He reminds me of King Josiah who did thing which pleased the Lord.
I can't turn to it right now. But if you want a real bible study on Leadership, study the reign of King Josiah. This king was certainly not perfect and no one is. But he pleased the Lord and that was his only aim in life to please the Lord. God says that wisdom is know by its children. A good kind freind asked me a good pertinent question, " Why is that you did not defend ex-president Bush when many would throw rotten eggs at him from all directions?..." And it's a good question I cannot answer.
All I can say it that Solomon says that there a time and a season for every purpose in heaven. President Bush never sent a delegation to Saudi Arabia to explain to them that we don't hate the Arab world. This rampage hate campaing to hate the people in that sector had to come to an end. When we now have a woman in the Supreme Court, maybe we needs a woman's point of view about this time. She hasn't made any promises and I sure here new colleages will like her and some will not.
Certainly Jesus there some who received him and who did not. I have, you have people who appreciate us and there are those who want to do us harm in the worst possible way- spiritually. When Job spoke to his freinds in Job 6 he said to them, to bring him the reason to hope. And instead they went days on with guilty accusation of how he had sinned. Wheter he sinned or not is not the issue. Job was close to his own funeral and he needed someone to tell him God is faithful and he will accomplish all his purpose.
And that the news we need to hear that God is faithful and he is not lethargic and neither does he slumber or fall asleep and neither is blind when people sin and neither has he departed the land. He is alive and well and I'm comfident that he is still answering our prayers and looking our best interest- Glorious Eternal Life- under his care and total bliss for those who put their trust on him. May you be blessed. Amen.
["...1Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.
2For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
3For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
4For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth...]
We go back to the ABC's of the gospel. The first thing is that God is not a respecter of persons. Those in Isarael are not particularly more popular with God then than those in Samaria. When we understand how unmerited the grace of God is, we understand that no-one is of particular good taste to God.
Those who reject Christ in any corner of the world will not suffer more or less than his own people when they rejected him in person. The trouble goes back to where God allowed Abraham cast out mecilessly Hagar and her child into the plight of her own luck in the wilderness.
Abraham should have never allowed his wife to do such merciless act. Ishamael althought he was cast out from Abrahams family, became the progenitor of the gentiles. And God set his heart to do good to the deceandants of this Ishmael, you and me.
On those who seemed favored, he, God cast a curse, Isaiah 6:8-10, it says such:
["...8Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
9And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.
10Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed...]
God has closed the heart of these person so that it is impossible for them to believe God and his word. Until when will God cast out these people. It tells such:
["...11Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate,
12And the LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.
13But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof...]
Untill they come to see the devastation and see for themselves what place they really have in God heart. After desolation of the world, then they will understand how really common they really are and how really they had nothing to boast all this time thinking they were they elect of God. Untill then will they continue think they are saved by
proxy to Abraham. No, Nep! God does not respect any one cept' those who put their trust in him. They had to put the Messaih on the cross to illustrate how mistaken a man can be. What a mistake. But then they couldn't see or do any otherwise, God put this slumber on them, lest they see with their eyes, hear the gospel, and be healed.
