When the choicest corn will not do...

It seem now we want to take it easy and put the bible away and the sermon notes away and the sermon tapes away and the sermon books away! But now we have a new subject to wretle with...pandemia! What if hell breaks loose and God forgets to be merciful and kind and compassionate? Can that happen? Is it happening? Perhaps I'm the first of the gloom and doom pronosticators, but then is our faith ready to face a wide spread epedemic like the one we hear about in the news. They call it swine flu but they examined the swine and they are flu-less.

Just off the cuff the bible commands not to give your pearls of wisdom to swine, because they will toss what you say underfoot and turn to attack you! Is this about to happen the the truth of God where people are ready to attack you for preaching the truth? Is the truth too heavy corn for the swine to eat? Perhaps swine want to eat what is choice to them and not your choice corn or newly harvested wheat. I heard of giving bread crumbs to the dogs but this swine business is out right dangerous.

What do you make of all this? What do you think is happening? What is your accessment of the matter? Why is an epedemic breaking out? Nature? Biology? Just people not covering their mouths when they cough. What subject is more important to you than the bible? Perhap the oncoming gloom and pestilence is better chat then scriptures? But then you know what is best for you. But I like to say that God can be very persuasive in turning our focus back on him and his word.

What blogs catch more your attention? Are those that entertain and make you feel good or those that tell you thing like they really are? But on you know your own heart. But God is not worried about the matter, he is in heaven. He knows in time you'll turn see thing his way and tune to his channel. But then you have to find this out for yourself. You could avoided all this calamity if you only believed Psalm 23. But then you have to find out this things for yourself. I just want to bid you happy hunting for the facts.

Just beware of the lions, tiger, snakes and beast out there in searchland. May you be blessed. Amen.

Has the angel of the Lord unshackle you from your problem...?

We open with and annocdote from the bible. We do this because it's the bible the only words that are really hope giving and trust worthy. We turn to Acts 12:6-15,

["... 6And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison.

7And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.

8And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me.

9And he went out, and followed him; and wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision.

10When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the angel departed from him.

11And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that the LORD hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.

12And when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark; where many were gathered together praying.

13And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a damsel came to hearken, named Rhoda.

14And when she knew Peter's voice, she opened not the gate for gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate.

15And they said unto her, Thou art mad. But she constantly affirmed that it was even so. Then said they, It is his angel..."]

Now here was Peter tied to two Roman guards waiting for morning to be tried and sentenced. And in the night the angel of the Lord delivers him. Wouldn't you say this is say like a Christmas Carol? But this all did happen to reminds us to have faith and trust in God to deliver us from what ever peril.

I tell as I write, I need to hear this words more than anyone else. I had begun to waver and doubt and loose control of my confidence in God. It should not be this way. We talked about economic issues, but God is a God who delivers from all and any situation. God promises that nothing is impossible for him.

We like Peter hear the roar of the waves and we begin to doubt and sink in dispair. But let's begin to trust God and give him the chance and the benefit of our trust. I hope you come to trust in what I say, but more important read the annocdote of the bible story for your self and believe in God. May you be blessed. Amen.

Has the economy tested you faith...?

I was reading the opening line about GM and gas-gussling cars. I think the times call for shrewd management of our resources. We can't afford to make new enemies in the market. Raw materials are a must for the economy and industry. So we have all this silos of wheat and corn stored away and perhaps rotting. Yes we must save for a rainy day, but we should take a second thought.

Is the Lord's hands shortened that he cannot save? Has the Lord come to an era where cannot understand and manage our economy. When in dire need of five thousand hungry women, men and children, who took how much? Was it five loaves and two small fish and took care of the matter and then picked up seven baskets of left overs.

The Lord says that if only we believe him and the gospel, he exhorts us not to worry about daily necesities like food and clothing. There's hunger in the world, not because there's no food, but we just don't believe God and his word. We worship idol. practice witchcraft and sorcery. There's rampant immorality and laciviousness and sensuality in every corner.

And the worst part of the matter is that we, I judge other and say Oh how sinful is him or her or them over there. And we as a nation have taken a bandwagon to judge the world and make the world safe for democracy. Like if our abortion quotas is the thrill of heaven. Yes I conceed that we have  policies that are unchristian, yet Jesus is not impressed with the righteousness of some.

For he told a terrible parable that some trusted in themselves to be righteous and despised others. No God takes no delight in our parade of righteousness that we pretend. No it is not a problem for God to deliver us from the perils of todays world, with its drug addiction, rampant divorce rate and crime explosion. But he does not like us to take ourselves more seriously than we should.

Perhaps we go to church and bible study every sunday and pray and fast and tithe. But then that what the Pharisee took pride in and God did not take pride or pleasure in him. The publican just lowered his head and said to God "I'm had please forgive a sinner.." And God took delight in that. And like we've said God has not lost his eyes that he cannot see or heart that he does not care.

He just can't endure all this hate and looking down on people going around. He say the proud he swares he we humble with mildew and rust. I have mixed thoughts but I'm not concerned about how my Lord is going to take care of me. My Lord is perfectly glorious and is able to take care of me in this age and in the age to come. May you be blessed. Amen.

When the Good News becomes the "Blahs" News...

Sometime in our christian walk we begin to take the gospel for granted. Like it is not like before, christ Hellelujah! Blah. Can anyone confess to that? That the message has become old news and not the good news. We go to church, hear a message, yawn! and hear some more message, yawn! and understanding about God well its' boring to say the least. We rather talk about something else. We turn to Proverbs 24,

["...1Be not thou envious against evil men, neither desire to be with them.

2For their heart studieth destruction, and their lips talk of mischief.

3Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:

4And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.

5A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.

6For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.

7Wisdom is too high for a fool: he openeth not his mouth in the gate.

8He that deviseth to do evil shall be called a mischievous person.

9The thought of foolishness is sin: and the scorner is an abomination to men.

10If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.

   11If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain;

12If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?..."]

This chapter to line 12 says a keleidescope of things. Line 10, If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strenght is small. I thought we could do all thing through Christ who strengthens us? Line 11, If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death and those who that are

ready to be slain. Does the cause of the needy ever reach our heart and attention? God says in line 9, The thought of foolishness is sin but a scorner, one who is to bored to care, is an abomination to men and God.

God say is in Matthew 25,

["... 14For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.

15And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.

16Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.

17And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.

18But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.

19After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.

20And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.

21His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

22He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.

23His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

24Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:

25And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.

26His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:

27Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.

28Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents..."]

Are you hiding Gods talent in hole because I really do not see the use of speaking out for Christ or doing his commands or I am just to tired of this Christ hoop-la! We earnesly need to fast and pray that this phenomenon is not happening to us. We don't want to be in that lot. Christ may

appear any moment and 1/3 of humanity has never heard of Christ of the bible. I hope I'm not wasting my words in what I'm saying. May you be blessed. Amen.

Come...Thanks-giving circuit...!

Today in this new day of the week, I asked God to unlatch me and unhook me from the harbored resentments, cares, worries, fears and all those things that take my focus off God and Jesus who is the same. We turn to Heb. 13:15,

["...15By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name...]

And I thought why don't we give God thanks for change and instead of moaning and complaining. And took on a difficult blog topic today in the monday day. But I will make an effort in faith to give God thanks for all his benefits. We certainly are not hungry or thirty or without clothing or homeless. But I do pray I'm delievered from my spiritual poverty, that is something to be sad about. The soul needs to be nutured spiritually and take some time out to be with God.

And when we don't give thanks or become uncharitable that it not a good sign. We really need to talk to God about this and be delivered from this maladity. And ever in our most diligent effort to be namely diligent we forget the first love we have or had for God and Christ who is namely the same. Let finish with a warning to bring us out. Revelations 2:1-7,

["...1Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;

2I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:

3And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.

4Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

5Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

6But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitanes, which I also hate.

7He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God...]

Yes, even in our finest hour of what ever we think we are doing we can fall off the thanks giving circuit. May you be blessed. Amen.

What you misunderstood about the gospel...!

When we wrote our last blog on the rejoicing of the gospel, perhaps some may have misunderstood me or the message. I drove home my new 2009 Ford Escape at a give away price, 0 dollar down, the lowest interest rate in all the region. I ate a sumptious meal at Golden

Corral, I only gave the tip which someone else provided. I got out off the dryer my new denim wrangler denim pants which my cousin from Mexico gave to me at a Mall outlet. I went to the store and had a cold bubbly diet Coke to my fancy. Great peace I have with those who hate me.

And now listen to my 160 dollar ipod I found and bought at 49, listening to my favorite radio station which plays my favorite songs. I couldn't pu the gospel in an other possible way. God says that no eye has seen nor ear heard what he has in store for those that love him. No I

haven't seen the kingdom, but if what I see and hear is only the rumor of the glory, I'm all for it. And like I've said, When God says the Lord is my helper I shall not want, I really believe it. But the joy and rejoicing is not a sunday school platitude or empty words. God means business

when he says in Psalm 41, Blessed is the man who has regard for the poor...Well let's turn to it one more time and see what God says to those who join him, Psalm 41,

["...1Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.

2The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.

3The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.

4I said, LORD, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.

5Mine enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die, and his name perish?

6And if he come to see me, he speaketh vanity: his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; when he goeth abroad, he telleth it.

7All that hate me whisper together against me: against me do they devise my hurt.

8An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him: and now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.

9Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.

10But thou, O LORD, be merciful unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them.

11By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.

12And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever.

13Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen...]

Yes there will be time when you will be kicked for preaching Jesus, even those who share bread with you. But God will sustain you in time of trouble and in time of illness. But I'll tell you my cousin from Mexico brought me 5 pounds of the finest ranch asedero cheese you ever

tasted. Went to cook-out next day and my brother invited us to a housewarming party with all the royal amenities. I just do not know what else tell you. If God thought of doing this for me the most despicable sinners who happened to utter his name in public, imagine what he'll do for you who may have not done what I have done.

I really am agasp for words and how good the bible is to a man. God is true and inpired king David to write in Psalm 1:1, "Blessed is the man who listens not to the counsel of the ungodly, nor sit in the chair of sinners, or stand with the scornful." I really believe many are missing out

on the better things in life. I wouldn't suprice that someone told me that the "properity gospel" ischild's play compared to this. I would say Amen to that. May you be blessed. Amen.

Have you put God in a box fitted to your size...?

This is a respose to a brother who wanted to believe what I was saying in this blog but couldn’t get the ends together. I brought it up with God. I told God to forgive me, I forgot that I couldn’t in my best reasonings convince him of how glorious God is and that only you God could open his heart and let understading come in. I felt better, but later at night I thinking about him and God asked me if I had copped out on him, in his hunger to know?

So I prayed to God for a last reasoning on this subject on the souverinity of God on all things as creator and designer of all events. And he sent me message. He brought to my rememberance the parable of the Pharisee and the publican. We know the Pharisee and how he was trying to become right before God, telling him of how obedient he was to God’s commands. It sounds right, but not to God.

Now I want to tell my troubled freind to not fear of how God has created us, fallible, feebel, sinful, wicked and immoral. The publican said do God, “God, forgive me I AM a sinner, the way it pleased you to design me. I’m helpless to change what you God have put in motion in my life. I make no effort to try to impress you with so kind of goodness, I know better. But since I know you are kind and merciful, I have hope you will forgive my make up and help me through this dark night. I have only faith in you God!

And truly that man went on home in a way that pleased God, acknowledging God for everything as the author of good and evil but with our sin because everything God has a holy purpose to bring glory to himself, his name, his heaven, temple and his annoited Son Jesus. May God have all the praise and all the glory. Amen.

How Glorious is God our Creator...?

Thank you brother for contacting me, I really like to talk to someone today. You ask a very good question and its a tracedental issue that involves some many other question some people ask about God. One of the most popular is the one that the world and universe where or started by itself by chance and 'good' probably and

even luck if we venture that far. The creation is negated and the evolution theory is the popular idea people like to entertain, a world without a creator and or designer.

Taking things in an other direction, we turn to Genesis 1:1-5,

["...1In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

2And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

4And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

5And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day..."]

God established himself as the creator of heaven and earth and that means everything. And this doesn't mean only the physical but everything spirititual. When a new soul or person is conceived in the womb, God out his own resourced gives it a spirit which he has created and given it its abilities, limits and characteristics. We turn to Gen. 5:3,

["... 3And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, and after his image; and called his name Seth:.."]

After creation Adam begat children in his own image and not the image of God. And imperfect mold set the pattern for all the imperfect mold like you and me in the word. We turn to Job 15:14

["...14What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?..."]

No no one is clean if he has a woman for a mother. We skip to Job 25:4,

["...4How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?..."]

Remember God created the first woman Eve and she was not exempt from what Job says. And perhaps last we turn to Psalm 51:5,

["... 5Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me..."]

I was shaped in iniquity, and nobody shapens anything but God. This idea of atheist in universities, that biology shapens a fetus in the womb is just another ploy of the devil to get God off the picture. And yes God shaped our iniquity even before we are born. But it was not sin for him because like you said he had a Godly

purpose which is more glorious than the 'transgression' if you will. We turn to Romans 11, In this last passage God wants us to remembe 3 things to clarify the most pertinent important issues,

["... 32For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

33O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

34For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor.."]

For first God has to put it lighty has MADE us all unbelievers. Isaiah 6:9.

Second, the wisdom of God is simply glorious and we make it a mistake to judge what God can and cannot do..

Thirdly, to log off, God does not have a teacher, church, or committee to put instruct him on manners and to what waters he should not prod. Who has ascended to heaven and told God what to do?

May you be blessed. Amen.

So you want to preach the gospel? Here is the outline!

In these world filled with sinful people and I'm not the exception, we have to understand how captive the human mind is subject to do the will of the Devil and even kind of natural. A little child never has to learn how to pull a temper tumtrum or yougster to cheat, or a teen ager to smoke and drink or an adult what adultery is. It's all natural and certainly this is not out of the control of God. God designed sin so everyone needs a reason to say "I am sorry..." like the movie.

No man can ever say he does not know how sin feels and this is the perfect picture God creates so we can forgive others who also err againts us and God. God says in Romans that he has turned EVERYONE to disobedience, so no one can never say he or she doesn't have a debt to pay. And we know that the wages of sin is death. And God fore ordained the sacrifice of his only begotten Son so the payment could be made that we helplessly by desing could not pay out of our own resources.

God has foreknown a time when we will come to ourselves that we are indeed helpless in the matter of sin and so si everyone you know, no matter if some pertain to be good, holy or good citizens. No one can escape the trap of the devil of his own whim or effort no matter how resolved he or she is. It can not be done. Only God has the key to heaven. Jesus. There's no other way and every knee will bow and get to know this sooner or later. For some to late later when in hell they will moan on how foolish they were to trust on their own

goodness and not on the work of Jesus on the cross for us. May this never happen to you. And you can escape if you believe God that he is sovereign and that you are sinner and helpless in your sins and need a Savior appointed with the name of Jesus and you will be saved from eternal damnation into the glory to have every wonderful blessing you can imagine, even life eternal. May you believe and be blessed. Amen.

When is time for those who sleep to wake up?....Now!

After thinking about the title for this blog and asked God to open the altar of heaven and bless us with his understanding, I realize I have to write this blog to myself. After the worries of the chores, unorthorized withdraws from the check card, I lost my favorite pair of glasses and harvored unrepented resentment in my heart for someone. Then I knew this blog was for me. We turn to 1Thess. 5:1-11,

["...1But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.

2For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

3For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

4But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

5Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

6Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

7For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.

8But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

9For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

10Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.

11Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do...]

And like I said I hadn't realize how bogged down I was with the cares and worries of this world. I was watching a movie last night that was not too christian and had a lots of objectionable behavior. I wouldn't see it again. But it had a point. It was about a top notche, price winning salesmans who really thinks he has it all together and he is called to consult and save a failing sales company. But only revealed at the end, he is the victim of a con-job by offering him a situation that tempt his integrity and self assurance.

He falls into the trap, the lady undues him emotionally, he falls in love with her, but she happened to be just a ploy of his adveraries. And just remind me of Solomon in all his riched and wisdom, he did not take God's advice not to surround himself with so many cares and wives and he just ignored God and that brought one of the wisest man in the history of the world disaster, he fell away to other gods. But this all happens in history for our admonition. Just when we feel we have it all together and nothing can topple us, it's time to be most wary and fearful of folly.

The adversary has many resources in this world at his disposal that he can be able to tickle our fancy and makes us fall and topple away. Like I said, I hadn't realized God had brought this upon me to show me how really weak and gullible I really am and how I can fall asleep with cares, worries, concerns and what is the balance in my bank account. God admonishes us of this in the Parable of the Sower, how the seed which fell in the weeds are just like we've been saying- dealing with the temptations of the world.

So that is it and now I know what can happen to unshakalble me if I'm not careful and pray each day for God's deliverance. May you be blessed. Amen.
