In this blog we want to Chat about you. We wrtten quite a bit of blogs about different subjects, but we had hoped everything is focused on God and his word and his annoited. Now what about you what have you been doing? In your work, play or idle time what do you think about? Is there something we should know about you? The fact is that there's no one quite like you and you were wonderfully made. God has perfection in all his creation. It just that sometime God leaves some of the parts missing so we can ask him for them to complete us.
What about you life and husband or wife or kids? Aren't they wonderful? May not all the time...Give them time to grow. We all need time to reflect and grow. What have you done today? Have you had lunch? Dinner or Breakfast? How wonderful it is that we have a God that provides for us. Your are unemployed and you lost your job? Have you considered that God wanted it that way to bless you more in the end? You are feeling down you say? Perhaps look intently into the sky and cloud and how they worry not and still in its time they bring rain. So do be down so much. That why I want to write this blog. It's been a while since we talked.
Have you had 'that' talk with you husband and how you have to pray together that God give you strenght to stay together? What about that 'talk' with you son of daugther about how the world really is and that they should plan their life and carefully and not be snared with 'a problem' that is really one of those problem we parent dread for their children. How about you in jail reading this blog in the library or where ever they let you go into the computer, do you know we still love those who are in prison. We hope that when you get out you straighten your life out and pray for a new perspective.
How about you child or children have you had that talk with you mom and dad and told those thing you've been holding out on them? Your mom and dad...well we are only here for a long time but not forever...so treat them nicely we need a thankyou once in while. And you grandpa are you just thinking about those trout in the river? You nece not and your knees needs to go to the circus and eat popcorn and have a hot dog with them. They grow up pretty quickly!
And gradma, what are you doing with your life? The Lord may take us home anytime and we need to write a story or record a casset or make a note to your you know who who all this life you may never connected with like we should. So this blog is about you. Perhap I may, you may think this are trivial matters, but this postponed chat should not be postponed any longer. God said tha the spirit of Elijah will bring the hearts of the fathers to the children and the heart of children to the fathers or just as well smite the whole earth with a curse. No don't postpone it no longer and on the way if someone has something against you forgive him or her as well. May you be blessed. Amen.
In this passage, this is for those who believe God only. It you don't believe in the glorious God you won't belive this section, it says,
[22 But God's anger was kindled because he went, and the angel of the LORD took his stand in the way as his adversary. Now he was riding on the donkey, and his two servants were with him.23 And the donkey saw the angel of the LORD standing in the road, with a drawn sword in his hand. And the donkey turned aside out of the road and went into the field. And Balaam struck the donkey, to turn her into the road.24 Then the angel of the LORD stood in a narrow path between the vineyards, with a wall on either side.25 And when the donkey saw the angel of the LORD, she pushed against the wall and pressed Balaam's foot against the wall. So he struck her again.26 Then the angel of the LORD went ahead and stood in a narrow place, where there was no way to turn either to the right or to the left.27 When the donkey saw the angel of the LORD, she lay down under Balaam. And Balaam's anger was kindled, and he struck the donkey with his staff.28 Then the LORD opened the mouth of the donkey, and she said to Balaam,"What have I done to you, that you have struck me these three times?"29 And Balaam said to the donkey,"Because you have made a fool of me. I wish I had a sword in my hand, for then I would kill you."30 And the donkey said to Balaam,"Am I not your donkey, on which you have ridden all your life long to this day? Is it my habit to treat you this way?" And he said,"No.]
Here we have a man talking with his donkey and having an exchange of coversation. When we said nothing is impossible for God we meant nothing is impossible for God. But don't try this with you pet. You know our pets know all our house secrets and they are always watching us. But if you would believe God consider this an altar call of a different kind. In the new testment the Lord test our faith in more milder way compared to this talking donkey, it says,
May you come to beleive that all-mighty God is all-together majestic and glorious.
[8:1 In those days, when again a great crowd had gathered, and they had nothing to eat, he called his disciples to him and said to them,2 "I have compassion on the crowd, because they have been with me now three days and have nothing to eat.3 And if I send them away hungry to their homes, they will faint on the way. And some of them have come from far away."4 And his disciples answered him,"How can one feed these people with bread here in this desolate place?"5 And he asked them,"How many loaves do you have?"They said,"Seven."6 And he directed the crowd to sit down on the ground. And he took the seven loaves, and having given thanks, he broke them and gave them to his disciples to set before the people; and they set them before the crowd.7 And they had a few small fish. And having blessed them, he said that these also should be set before them.8 And they ate and were satisfied. And they took up the broken pieces left over, seven baskets full.9 And there were about four thousand people. And he sent them away.10 And immediately he got into the boat with his disciples and went to the district of Dalmanutha.]
Do you like you coffee strong or mild? we have both brands, in the old testament and in the new-it's all a miracle!. May you believe. Amen.
I was reading a five volume report that God did not make us automatons. This idea of free choice is stickier than crab grass. We just don't understand how able God is to run and manage his creation. We limit God with our limited perspective. If we only believed how glorious God is we would not think of God as a spy in our life trying to meddle in our business. When God gives us liberty it is just because he loves us.
Now what do you believe? Do you, I think God is out get us and do us wrong. What part is that we don't undertand that God is good and holy. Why can't God control everythink you whim to think or do? He controls the weather and the universe why wouldn't he be able to blind you or let you see? Issaiah 6:9. The reason I'm writting this 6 minutes to midnight, is because God love you and want you to believe God that nothing is impossible for him. And the bible really means nothing.
If you believe man has a natural spirit, he gave you and mine in the onset of conception. I became a living soul. An embryo has a natural human spirit which is what allows you to think like not animal can. Or we secular and think that an embryo is just a mass of cells? It come to what Joshua told the people, if you believe your god follow him but me and my household will follow the Lord.
Sometime when I have dilema, I ask the Lord to decide for me what to think because only God can deal with the snares of the wily devil. It just a matter of how much glorious and how much I have put my faith and trust in God. If he cannot control my life how will I trust him to help me make the right choices and my destiny? Once you begin to understand how set apart God is and how really he is more than able to do than what we think is plausible to our limited brain wave pattern, then we will understand that we can trust him forever. May you be blessed. Amen.
We decided to fast today. In a previous blog we looked intently into the dark glass bottle and imagined what we saw there. Now reclining on the sofa in the sun-room I looked intently at the blue sky of God's glorious earth. And I just looked and wondered mystified. The only thing I wondered today is that I had to take my father to the bank for some business. I just thought how little my world was. It hadn't occurred to me that perhaps the devil had hold on me today. I decided to think of the little things today and make myself little and be content with that. I felt better thinking that way. I really marveled at how thinking little is good for me. Then I remembered something in Genesis or
Exodus. Moses and the Israelites are trapped between to mountains and red sea. The Egyptians and their troubles pursuing them. The honey moon was over. The great expectations were gone. Fear is on them. As we reflect on this quarter of the year, an election year. Are we still behind our President Obama? Do we criticize him for having an onslaught of problems on himself after he promised some things? Do we think God doesn't see anymore or has departed the land? Ezequiel. Moses had this experience perhaps he and the people thought God had departed the Land. Moses cried to God and God said to him, "Why are crying back to me, raise your staff so the waters will part...!"
Have we put the staff God had given us at our presidents' disposal? How we abandoned our prayers for him? I once went to college game and there were a lot of hoopla and tailgate parties before the game. But when they began to lose the game the fans began to leave the stadium. I was really disappointed at them. By the end of the game most of the people who were their fans had left. In the parable of the sower, there are those who hear the gospel and receive it with joy. But when trouble comes they quickly fall away and there's no fruit in them to harvest. And I just look back and what started to be a dismal day for me of closed door and depression. Well I'm writing this blog. And
this has an extension. Have you recommitted yourself to you wife and children? Or have you come to your Red Sea? Have you put your staff away in a closet? It's time to bring it out again and start believing again that God is a God that delivers. Jesus told Jairus, Do not fear only believe!...Believe for me, our President, Nation, family and an open door for the gospel. May you be blessed. Amen.
I got up this morning so thirty. I've been reading God's word and somehow I needed something to drink. And I filled the little goblet and drank the drink down, three times. The grape juice from concentrate went down so good. Drinking it from a goblet did the trick. It satified my belly and my mental thirst. Don Quixote runs into trouble again and this time he is in sickbed. He is beaten. He makes potion of wine, salt and rosemary herb according to some old tradition.
We want to focus on the wine. I was at Sam's looking at the wine bottles, those cheap and those luxurious, domestic and imported. I looked at one and looke at its shiny smoked glass. And I thought for a second like looking at the bottom of the ocean. The coral reef. The exotic fish and sea plants and wonders there. A dreamy place. But then I looked at all the sunked ships, wrecked vessels, broken homes, wrecked lives, deperate trouble with the law, and those dead or in jail for drunkeness.
And it seam that the bottle which can bring mirth and joy and gladnes is like the sea, when the storm rises it sinks the greatest of ships. The the storm rises and brawls start, the fight in the home or elsewhere. And I think also of heaven. There's a lot of peace stored there and blessings. But it is also a place where hell is going to be kindled. Yes a two sided story. I think about the gospel. An arome of life of Christ to some. And aroma of distruction to those who scoff.
yes the wine, the sea, heaven and the gospel are all two sided stories. Yes a tale of two endings. But which will be the ending of the tale of your life? Is you tale with a happy ending? Or is it not a tale with a happy ending? Don Quixote had a happy ending in this scene, he recovered. But Sancho became sicker with the potion. Don Quixote said to Sancho, "The reason your got sicker is because you are not a knight..." Has Jesus dubbed you a knight and given his potion for you ills? May the gospel be a fragrance of life and recovery for you! May you be blessed. Amen.
After we wrote our last blog about something for a mourner, we mourned. We put on our best dress for that party and we just didn't quite go anywhere. But I've asked the Lord to make all things anew and really think about something that should really concern us and or make us mourn. Let me show you what I mean. There are some passage that really don't seem ot be addressed to us. These old testament passages are difficut and mysterious again. It seem like if we heard all before or perhaps not. It says,
["8 Then the LORD spoke to Aaron,"Behold, I have given you charge of the contributions made to me, all the consecrated things of the people of Israel. I have given them to you as a portion and to your sons as a perpetual due.9 This shall be yours of the most holy things, reserved from the fire: every offering of theirs, every grain offering of theirs and every sin offering of theirs and every guilt offering of theirs, which they render to me, shall be most holy to you and to your sons.10 In a most holy place shall you eat it..."]
This the take where those in the Church think that the gifts should be given to them. Paul certainly did think, this thinking of giving himself to his congregation. He tell them this in 1Thesso. 2 and in Acts 20. He reminded the Church how he and Barnabas worked day and night not be a burden to the brother in the church of that time. Now a days, the tithe and offering is big business. And its' all well. My take is that we should give to thoe who divulge the truth. Jonn say that if anyone comes to you and bring another gospel or another Jesus, you are not greet him, nor bring him into your house nor eat with such.
In Philipians 2:19-, Paul finishes off this thought, he says,
["I hope in the Lord Jesus to send you Timothy to you soon, that I also my be cheered when I receive news about you. I have no one else like him, who takes a genuine interest in your welfare. For everyone looks for his own interests, not those of Jesus Christ..."]
In the new testament, Jesus says,
["Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written,
"‘This people honors me with their lips,
but their heart is far from me;
7 in vain do they worship me,
teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.'
8 You leave the commandment of God and hold to the tradition of men.]
Jesus as God bring this light of those who stray from the teaching of the bible and bring in their own whim of thought and philosophies or something they dreamed about. What about us ? Do we walk the narrow path that leads to life or are we on the wide road that leads to destruction? May you be blessed. Amen.
At this poin I thought I took a break. Perhaps not from blogging but from whatever we've done since we've recieved our Premier Member Gift. I just want to reflect and thank my sponsor this year. I promised my freinds the finest cut of understanding that I can bring. I just thought I give it all out in this Quarter of the year. The Lord has been so good to me. He too has given me the finest cuts of his blessings and health and prosperity and joy and everything and everything I can ever desire that is good for me.
I was at my doctors clinic one day and I was renewing my 40% discount on my doctor visits. And I sat there I became a case number. And the day turned into schedules, waiting and thinking about God. Thie clinic is right next to the hospital and I finally thought I too was a 'waiter' that day. Not a restaurant waiter but one of those who have to wait until they are called for whatever business. Perhaps a clinic or a lawyers office or a job interview or so on. But that day I was a waiter.
I got the discount. I thank God and though that was it. But while there I didn't want to just go home and return to the old path. I asked if there was a cafeteria in the hospital and asked for directions. My intentions was to congrate and eat with the sick and afflicted and perhap share their perspective over a meal with them. I met this 'lady' who was going to the cafeteria as well and asked her for direction. She said she was going that way and would be charmed to take me.
So we went. It was maze. I was so glad this woman escored me trough the jungle the and get to 'camp'. Just before i got off the elevator there was this priest annoiting people with something. We'll explain later. He said to some "Will you?" And some took it and some shrugged him off. Pehaps they were Protestant and he looked Lutheran or Catholic. I could not tell but the dress was black. He annoited me and and prayed for me. I felt so releive to have some stranger recite a prayer for me. "...I was a stranger and you took me in..."
The woman finished her task, we landed on the cafeteria. I asked about my brand of money card before ordering and got in line to tell the server what to give me. An orental woman-nurse-doctor cut in front of me and ordered soup and I thought, I'll have the same. So I got all my stuff and proceeded to the checkout cashier and waited my turn. There was a lady in front of me with a whole lots off stuff and she swiped her clearance card but it would not kick in. What a trouble I thought. I said to her rather suddenly, "I'll take care of it for you...?" And she said "No. I just call the office or doctor...thanks!
And she got on her cell phone and walked away to call someone for the trouble with her card. I was there. I said to the cashier, " Make the total of her and me and I'll put it on my card...I'm in the mood today...!" And the cashier said don't worry the lady is a Doctor and she has allowance!" "No" I said "The hospital clinic has been very good to me today...I want to give leave something here...Pay the amount for both of us...!" She said "It's a lot of stuff!"
"No problema...let's eat away!" And it happened that way.
I sat down to eat my vegeterian meal by providence. I was the finest satisfaction I had with my meal. The lady who was a Doctor walked toward mw and she said "I don't know how to thankyou..." I said to her, "The hospital's clinic has been very good to me today...and besides I expect a discount when I come to see you...!" We joke and laughed at that. I said " I was really no problem...enjoy!" And she smiled and left. And I suddenly came to me that I didn't see any sick people there only doctors and executive nurses and...
I wanted to have a meal with the afflicted and discourage as I remember all my freind on the Internet who have health issues and problem. I wanted to eat what they eat and think what they think and pray with them and for them. Nay! Today! My freind. Today we ate with the Doctors and eat what they eat. I said to my Lord what have I ever done for you that you that you offord me a day like this? And As I was driving back to the house, I looked in the mirror and say a black streal on my forehead. And it came to me. It was Ash Wednesday.
And the Lord said to me out of Matthew. "What ever you've done to the least of my bretheren, you've done the same to me...!" -Jesus. May you be blessed and have a nice day. Amen.
In these passages things get dark and mysterious. Korah and his company rebel agaist Moses and his commission. Now in these passages illustrates how God deals with rebellion. God made the ground split open and swallow them alive in the fire. In the below passage we had to pray for insight, it says,
36 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,37 "Tell Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest to take up the censers out of the blaze. Then scatter the fire far and wide, for they have become holy.38 As for the censers of these men who have sinned at the cost of their lives, let them be made into hammered plates as a covering for the altar, for they offered them before the LORD, and they became holy. Thus they shall be a sign to the people of Israel."39 So Eleazar the priest took the bronze censers, which those who were burned had offered, and they were hammered out as a covering for the altar,
The Lord told Moses to tell Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest to take the cencer out of the blaze...and then later it says they, the hammered plates, would be a sign to the people...and hammered out as covering for the altar...
Now in this the Lord wants to be reminded of him to not forget. He tells the son of Aaron to take the cencer...The Lord wants to remind himself that every offering made on that altar will be made for the sake of the children. He doesn't tell Moses or Aaron, but his son to the ceremony. And surely the covered plates are something that is in the sight of the Lord continually. The sake of the children is in front of the Lord continually and he would not suffer himself or the gospel to defraud any child of the hope of the things he has in store for them.
When Jesus had the children come to him and blessed them. The children are a constant concern to God. You can sin against God or whomever but don't suffer youself to sin against the children. Jesus said and warned suffer yourself not to let you cause a little one lilke this one to sin, it would be better that a millstone be tied around your neck and thrown into the sin. How we treat our children should be covered plates of the Gospel and we should have an open display for them before everyone to see -to show them- how much we love them. May you be blessed. Amen.
Where is it all going? Who will heed? Who would believe? When the anti-Christ, the man of sin, comes and takes away our ability to buy and sell without his mark, then how are we going to worship God?How will we tithe and give offerings to church and charities?
God has a plan to deal with every situation. Nothing takes his by surprise. In Amos 5:21 it reads, “I hate your gifts, I hate your solemn assemblies, I hate your songs, I hate your ceremonies…” But what then is going to happen to going to church?
God is setting up to take the market- place out of church. He is going to cleanse the temple. He won’t accept our tithe or our praise or our meetings. God says that he wants us to be a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to him, which is our reasonable service.
God like we’ve spoken, want religion that is acted out. He told the Pharisees and us and me, these people honor me with their lips but their heart is far away from me. Those that do not understand the matter will continue marketplace religion and will have to be dealt is an kosher manner to put it lightly
By the ruling power at that time, the antichrist. But that heart is sincere and doesn’t need money to worship will know and be known by God and worship God by their example. If I don’t understand this I will become a martyr.
I really don’t feel like being a martyr at all. Jesus told the church of Philadelphia, the church of brotherly love, that he God would keep them from the hour trial that is coming upon the world. They won’t have to give account of their faith in public because just the daily devotion of doing God’s will in everyday life
Is a trial in itself? God is setting up to put fire to show religion. And those that go to church just for the show and take the Lord name in vain by calling themselves by his name and cuss and smoke and disown him before men in their daily life will have to pass through the fire.
The tribulation will be enormous because we’ve got families and the anti Christ will not have mercy on any. All these blogs about false religion and false worship and false example living and not just an exercise for the key board.
Some have believed and some have not. All the pastors and deacons and elders and their subjects who do not understand Amos 5:21 will have to defend the faith with their life. We invent clever doctrines like the rapture to give us peace from the tribulation that is coming.
But it will be a time of trouble like there wasn’t ever before. All this business of taking the Lords name in vain and calling yourself Christian will have it consequences. People say the Lord won’t have us go through the tribulation because he loves us.
Many of those that say that are some that really don’t have regard for him. My life is sheer terror during the week; the devil makes an open sport of my life and treats me with contempt. If your are having trouble dealing with daily life because you love the Lord in a way people can see that, the good news is
The Lord had a special care for you when trouble comes and you will see how he will provide for you when trouble comes. If you openly acknowledge me before men, I will openly acknowledge you before the angel of God in heaven. If anyone listens to my sayings the will be like a wise man who built his house upon a rock. Forgive and you will b forgiven. Jesus. May you be blessed and may God have everlasting dominion and glory. Amen.
I used to work in a race track, horse race track. I would sometimes place a bet and would either win, place or show. It reminds me of religion. I say it with concern. The subject is so elusive. It’s hard to focus and explain the problem. It involves some my individuals who perhaps believe earnestly they are doing the right thing.
You are either there to win and inherit the kingdom or you are there because of the place, the impressive buildings and classrooms for children and gymnasiums for teenagers to play ball, or you are there for the show, the performance, the music and pomp, like going to a theater, you put on your best clothes and shoes, to be entertained by God’s word, open a subject, explore it, forget it and on to something else.
Saul of 2Samuel was impressive in stature, a real handsome man, respected by his father and all the people. He was anointed by God to be king over Israel. Curious for the moment, the first horse man in Apocalypses was on an impressive white stallion. Going on to conquer and a crown was given to him and bow.
The religion that we have today is impressive. A lot of money and real estate in bound up in them. King David typifies true religion, forsaken, troubled, lonely, trial, and tribulation. True religion is not attractive. Sacrifices have to be made, but is faithful. While Saul was impressive, he was a violent man, with murder in his heart.
The same hate the Pharisee had for Jesus and murder. The second horse in Apocalpolis is a red horse and it has murder in its heart. To kill the opposition, little or great. We covet but we don’t have, so we wage war to get what we want. The second rider and horse is about ‘Get me what I want’.
The Pharisee liked the show. They wanted the attention on the market place and banquets. They were surely not there to serve, they liked to be served.
The third horse and horseman is about want and need and the way of get. Jesus told the Laodicea church, you are poor, naked, blind, miserable and wretched. Spiritual famine cause by deception.Saul finally died on his own sword, he killed himself. His poverty must have been great. Death follows poverty and misery.
Before a fall there’s pride. Why is this pride so elusive? Its’ sticky. You can’t touch it because it’s like leaven. A little leaven lifts the whole lump. Since we can’t confront sin, it just grows and touches everyone.
There’s a hair of the devil in this pride. Since we don’t want to obey God we invent our own rules and gospels and arguments. Jesus said, ‘in vain you worship me teaching as doctrine the commandments of men'.
Somewhere along the line we decide for ourselves what we will believe and what commandments we are going to obey and which we are going to overlook. Not only do we form our own rules, we want others to worship us with our rules instead of God and his rules. So we worship God in vain. May you blessed and may God triumph forever and ever and have all the praise and all the glory. Amen.
