I was writing a comment about someone who wants to leave her husband and get a divorce or not get a divorce?! Now what kind of bad creature is your wife or your on the loose-cord husband? Perhaps your wife is not heaven anymore! And or your husband doesn't compare with anything worthy of an appraisal! And perhaps you are right! Somewhere in marriage, we bore and the road get uphill from that day you decide or wish you were out of there, that house and or relationship!...
Now what does God think? Remember what God said "My thoughts are not your thought, and my ways not your ways, and they differ as heaven is to earth!..." But what shall we do? We want out! We are tired! And perhaps mentally abused! And just in hell bored with this person who shares your life! And yes, we can take evasive manuevers and call the attorney and call all your divorced freind and help them feel justified in fighting back, why not?!...
This morning I was doing my devotional and the Lord said study this because you will need it! And I was reading about some that the Lord had promised to deliver them from their troubles and because he made a promise to the parents somewhere, maybe a slip but a promise and they want to claim that promise!...
But the Lord was not pleased with that arrangement, because his wife had become bored with him and wanted out and called othere gods to come to them and deliver them. And they thought they were special and blessed and that the Lord would always cater to them no matter how they acted! And I thought I was really something and somewhat especial and wouldn't compare with ill life wife I left behind!...
But this is what the Lord thought about those we leave behind and think about as sinners and not worthy of our company or even toss a word at them, filthy people! Turn to Luke 7,
["...22Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.
23And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.
24And when the messengers of John were departed, he began to speak unto the people concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness for to see? A reed shaken with the wind?
25But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings' courts.
26But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet.
27This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.
28For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he..."]
And he said of him or her we left behind,
"...For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist:
but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he..."]
And God loves that person you left behind and perhaps it was best, but make no mistake that God loves that person in way the perhaps you will never know!...So if you thing you've had it! Fine! But don't ever think God would of done the same, thinking of me at the hour misery at Calvary...Ephesians 4:32...
I was browsing through my bible and I thought or asked, "What is the meaning of love...?" Is love always right? Does love win all the arguments? Is love to defeat others? Let turn to Romans 12:9-12,
["...9Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
10Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
11Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
12Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;..]
Now this a bouquet of good thing to do for us. Let love be without falsehood. Hate evil intent. Dicern what is good for everyone. Be kind. Respect one another. And this something I have never heard- Not slothful in the business of the Lord. Service with a smile. And remembering it is the Lord we are serving. Happy in hope. Praying when trouble comes and continual prayer a way of life. This only a small dip on the text of Romans and with it we have enought to do for the whole day...
And we remember that love is patient and love is kind. Love does not seek its own but rejoices in the truth. And like we said Love does not insist on its own way. And we read and re-read to remember all this important stuff. It's good for us to know what God has to say about how we relate to each other and we know that God's way is the most fruitful and intelligent way to deal with anything...
Let's take tour into the desert and take a look at the woman and the beast. We turn to Revelations 17:1-6,
["... 1And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
2With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
3So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
4And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
5And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
6And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration...]
This a portral of the false church. This basically those subject who preach a gospel in the form of works. By ritual, tradition or habit. They like doing thing their own way. They surely don't believe on the complete work of Jesus on the cross for us. They might say it was a good start, but we have to finish on our own perhaps, perserverance on our own strength. Those who trust on religion of the base of the law are these. They really don't see Jesus glorified. It, hime to them, is just a symbol of I don't know what, but really just a nice thought, Jesus!...
Jesus is not a real religion but an adventure in self glory and vanity. They don't believe what God says and invent what God says to fit their own whim and life style. They proclaim the coming of Jesus but really don't look foward to his return. They really do no have faith in God or Jesus! It seem kind of vague doesn't it!? But it is not hidden from God those who really don't love him in heart. I did not want to go into details. To what end. These can never come to the knowledge of the truth about the falleness of man, the Glorious Diety of Christ and or the complete and only way to heaven, namely Jesus!...
They write volume, tons of scriptures, endless argument, but the only objective is to find another way to heaven with out Jesus! Perhaps by the line of Abraham, to regeneration of the 'spirit', or just verbalizing Jesus long enough until you feel safe with out really accepting him as God and Lord. We will keep it breif! Those who know Jesus, God knows them and this subject is just a dessert on what God Jesus has already done for us! keep safe! May God bless you. Amen...
["... 17Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
18If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
19Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
20Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
21Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good...]
Now this the thing we don't want to obey Christ about! Dealing kindness with those who hate us! Now we want to speak evil about them. Slander them. And just revile them for everything we think they do or they owe us. It is just easier to bless myself and condemn everybody who doesn't agree with me! And it is difficult because the thing people do are plain evil and we don't want to dondone evil! But Jesus said if we love only those who love us! And greet only those we consider our friend, we are no better than anyone who walked down the street!...
Now where is the pride in all of this? What happened to the glorious calling? All the euphoria to be called by Gods name!...
One of the misconceptions that sometime arise is that God is obligated to do something for someone or someones. But the truth of the matter is that God doeses what he pleases and really reserves the right to do anything for anyone. And sometime we want to turn God into servant of slave of man where he is bound under contract or agreement to perform certain duties. As Christ head of the church and as man head of his house, God calls the shots in heaven and on earth...
["...11I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
12But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.
13The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.
14I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
15As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
16And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
17Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
18No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
19There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings.
20And many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him?
21Others said, These are not the words of him that hath a devil. Can a devil open the eyes of the blind?...]
In this passage Jesus identifies himself as the good shepperd and not the good servant. As high as a shepperd is to his sheep, man to animal difference that how far, we are to God. Though the fact God cares of about us and Jesus remind us of the grace we speak of,
"...17Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
18No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father..."
He said, no man, no creation on earth, takes the grace of God upon himself on his own accord, but his said, I lay it down of myself, with Gods' free will and pleasure, with Power to give and pick it up again. And like we said we don't realize how free is God to his own decision and we should not put him in a box where man exacts God of what he is expected to do for man, who of his own free will turned away from him, Glorious. God...
Don't leave home without it! Sound like a catch phrase to remember to carry your passport, toothpaste or credit card or money or extra shirt or blouse or ton of other things, you wouldn't think of leaving home without! I stepped into the Cyber Cafe and I left home without it, my bible! I trusted everything is going to be alright! Let me tell something kind of funny about it! And it's kind of hilarious to think about it, that God is kind of supersticious somewhat!...
Explain? I hope so! Turn to John 1,
["...1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2The same was in the beginning with God.
3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not...]
Now God did not trust himself to nothing, but the Word has always been with God, on with him or them. The Word has an ample access to all the wisdom of God, so God is always safe to know all things, because the word is always there. And Jesus, the Word has allowed himself to share his himself and his wisdom with man and men and us. We turn somewhere, Matthew 13:34 (Whole Chapter)
All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:
Matthew 13:35 (Whole Chapter)
That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world...]
Now Jesus reveals all secret through his parables that have been keep secret since the foundation of the world and the spirit gives us access. And we don't have to be geniouses to know this things, just have a complet version of God's word. Finally he told those of old to keep and study the counsel of God's word for their own good and prosperty, turn to Psalm 1,
["...1Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish...]
The first thing King David wrote in his journal wast this very fact. And finally,
["...Deuteronomy 30:10 (Whole Chapter)
If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul...]
["...18And it shall be, when he sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write him a copy of this law in a book out of that which is before the priests the Levites:
19And it shall be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his life: that he may learn to fear the LORD his God, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them:
20That his heart be not lifted up above his brethren, and that he turn not aside from the commandment, to the right hand, or to the left: to the end that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he, and his children, in the midst of Israel...]
And I was safe this time because I had a cyber bible...
I recently went into a trip to a distant city to visit a sister who lives alone there. The idea was to visit her so we would comfort her and be with her for a few days. I did not want to take this trip. I did not have enough spending money for feel comfortable. And I did not want to be a burden on others to take me under their wing in distant city away from home and I was offended to be forced to comply on this mission. I did not see the point in the matter. But went to that city, visit my city, had the most wonderful time, ate the wonderful things and all in all a flawless trip, but I was insulted and did not want to blog anymore, like if that was so important in the end...
The only thing that comforted me was to return home safe and sound, beat and still feeling resentful to go on something I did not want to do so troublesome. And I take out my $00.88 dollar bible a bought over there, at my own expense! Now the Lord never leaves you nor forsakes you! I had the the most wonderful accommodations, free latte cafe, free internet access, resort apartment accomodations, pizza, fish, shrimp, pecan pies, chicken wings, mole tacitos! And I thought that would be paradise for me, but the spirit was not with me...
But as we wrote our blog on the refuge of the word of God, the daylong bus trip ride took it all out of me and I was furious. And I wasn't in mood for anything when I got back. My old greatest pastime love to share the truth was gone. I confessed my sin to God and confessed all my sins. I had come under the enemie's power ever by the amenties that were offered to me. The only thing the fomforted me was to open God's word, even for just myself. And I felt sick still to thread on the paths of Satan and his luck. I had become like him. When we come under the power of someone we become like them. And it is not until we come free that we lift up our God high, high, high, the enemy does not do that!...
["...36And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat.
37And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,
38And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.
39Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.
40And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on.
41There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.
42And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?
43Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.
44And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.
45Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.
46My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.
47Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.
48And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.
49And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?
50And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace...]
And sometime usually the plot of the enemy is to keep me and you from, the annoitment of the holy spirit, the breaking of the alabasted jar, filling your life with all wonder and fulfillment, and freedom to lift up God high, high, high. Usually arguments blare up just minutes before, you want to take a few moment and glorify God. And the enemy will take great expense to keep you from glorifying God, even if he has to give an all expense paid trip to a distant city, a just cause, but you will be bitter in the end will not want to come to God for any reason! So we figure that some come to glorify God and some simply don't find it in themselves to do that!...
Perhaps you are wed to be and think about this? Or take on a decision to take a long trip? Or you want to change jobs? Or you want to change your life? The first fact is that nothing is hid from God and nothing is impossible for him either! Now Christ behelds the whole wisdom of God to make any right decision. We turn to Proverbs,
["...1Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?
2She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths.
3She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors.
4Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man.
5O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.
6Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.
7For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.
8All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.
9They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.
10Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.
11For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.
12I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.
13The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
14Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength...]
Now here is a sermon in itself and really self-explanatory. It we only take a wisp of what God has to say we wouldn't have to stumble on anything. He says, "Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength..." Now why do we have to take chances. And true sometime we predicaments, dilemas, and three doors to choose and they all look the same! God can tell which door knob of which door has to most dust! You just really gotta learn to trust God!...
And sometime we want to see but we gotta see the enemy too and see that he hindering me or you from making the right decision. You heard of the Prince of Darkness and that he is prince of Blindnes. And it can happen to anyone, I should know. But we only have to know how to read a bible and listen to what the word say. I'm told "How smart you are!..." Yeah Right! I really don't know anything and don't remember anything but to find it as I look it up and turn the page on God's word...
My treasure is my a hutch filled with all the bibles I buy, from 80 dollars, to 88 cents. It gived me comfort that I have the written word of God always with me, that's where I'm smart and even intelligent or even a genious, because I have all 66 book of the bible. And it is as simple as turning the page. I couldn't know what God said about wisdom, until I looked it up and now I marvel! To know all this stuff because I'm reading it right now. And If I forget it I know I can look it up again and again and the bible never forgets! God says that the word of God endures forever, Jesus said Heaven and Earth will pass away but God will never change a dot on what he told me today about wisdom, his wisdom! It's better then preferred stock! God says that it is better than jewels or fine gold!...
I'm going to stop here so you can turn to the next passage on your bible and see where it will take you, beware because the bible can take you to the Himself, Christ!...I AM...!
Wouldn't it be frightening to receive a text message from God that he needs a word with you?! Now what would God what to talk to you about? All those traffic tickets you owe? The orange light you keep passing? How about those half hour fifteen miinute breaks you take at work? Now why would God want a word with you? Maybe it's you cussing or looking at no good pictures? Or snapping at your kids?...Now why would God want a word with you?...
And the real answer is why would you doubt God needs a word with you? What if God suddenly wants to have a chat about life with you? And or maybe he want to tell you that he has plans for you? Or perhaps he want to make it known to you that he just likes you and has a thing for you, even since you were in diapers!? Now the message God want to send you is that he want you to put him on your circle...!
He may want to be more real to you and wants you to make that call when you have no place to turn or just have nothing to do!? It doesn't matter! It can happen in heavy traffic! Long checkout line at the grocery store! Or just before you turn in and wonder about you life if you really have accomplished anything worthy of anything! Perhaps its the last batch of groceries and they are turning off the electricity tomorrow morning or even tonight!...
Now this call you cannot put on hold! God will get his girl or man, child or teenager! He know all the numbers and he know your number! He know which doors you need open to keep going in life! And who you want to please to give you favor because you need that person or job! God really know all the pages of your unwritten biography! And the sooner you know that you can expect a call from him the better it will be for you...Now why don't you call him first and perhaps things will be better! God appreciates iniative!...May you be blessed. Amen...
Now a freind got on my case with due cause! I walking around mopping and moping the floor with tears! Now what happened to the old smile and rejoicing in the Lord? Now what happene to service with a smile? Are like those of Ephesus who so diligent but forgot why it what what they were doing, even perhaps to plain joy in helping?! Now good morning to you in Signapore! Now this is the last frontier, there is no more earth to cover!...
But I think the worst deal was with those in Laodicea who thought that they were rich, but God said to them you are poor, wretched, blind, pitable, and naked! Now perhaps this is a good time to fast! Enough of the sumptious indulgence of the flesh and its cares! Now at this moment we ask God to finish this blog! In Jesus name we ask! We turn bible page,
["...2 Samuel 12:21 (Whole Chapter)
Then said his servants unto him, What thing is this that thou hast done? thou didst fast and weep for the child, while it was alive; but when the child was dead, thou didst rise and eat bread.
2 Samuel 12:23 (Whole Chapter)
But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me...]
Now was this a good thing to do? King David made his decision to end his fast when he thought everything was through! Now what happened to Elisha who brought up the child from the dead? Now God says that a humble and contrite heart he will not despise! Now king David was not unlike other men who gave up on God! Now all men have come short of the glory of God, all have doubted God at sometime from the least to the greatest...!
Now a Parent does never give up on his wayward child, never! Now God never abandons us, nor forsake us when we doubt and have trial of faith! But we must understand that all men are the same! No special breed of men have come out of Detroit or California! And when we fast it is our last card sometimes and boy is that card worth something to God! It is the last card God want to see so much! The last solution a man or woman has for himself or herself! This card is the one with God's name on it! Humble man! God can work with that...!
