First question: what makes me think i am going to heaven ? After reading the Bible 43 years total now, concluded that it is through faith in Jesus Christ that i will be there. Jesus did it all. Actually we do not need 43 years of reading just true faith in Jesus Christ.
Now we are ready for what do i or you expect in heaven ? God will be there the angels (the good ones) and all the saved people will be there. I expect to see what are written in the Bible will be there. No more sorrow, sickness or pain.
No more rush hours, no more locks, no more deadlines, no more hunger or thirst, no more bills, no sins, no more break downs, no scams or thieves, no trash...
You may say, could it be boring there ? Maybe after billion or trillion of years over there, maybe but i do not think so.
First let us look at the Bible.Matthew 11:23And you Capernaum, which are exalted unto heaven, shall be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. Also I Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God ?
Back to our question: Can whole church go to hell ? Yes but it will take two failures. The failure or major error/s of the leaders and failure of the members to detect them.
It is written that Jesus said these people worship me with their lips but their hearts are far from me.God desires that our hearts are close to His which we can start calling intimacy. God does not like lip service or worship with words and nothing more.
Yet it seems the word Jesus is even disappearing from our mouths. What do you think ? If we just give Jesus lip service soon that will even fade or disappear. The solution be intimate with Jesus. Let us not be stationary with Jesus or just maintain a certain distance but keep getting closer to Him.
You will be amaze at what thoughts come to your mind which will lead to your hearts and then to your soul and inner being. As we get closer we can hear His heart beat. But let us not forget to read the Bible and as we get closer His words becomes clearer and meaningful.
