I have trouble sorting out my memorabilia of books , tools , parts, notes, pens, keys, etc that is when I thought of the title of this blog.
I am guessing every living person here in planet earth is accumulating something. But have we ever asked ourselves where we are going with what we are accumulating ?
If this question puzzles you, let me suggest to you this , will what I am accumulating now prepare me for eternity ?
Perhaps that is even harder. Let me share where i am going. By faith i am hoping to go where the Holy Bible promises. Eternity with God through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. The word of God as contained in the Holy Bible have something exciting for us. Have you read or heard them ?
What i learned in religious debate in the internet
First it is hard to predict the outcome. It could be smooth or chaotic. Secondly, one or both could lost ones temper. which can happen when unkind words are used. Thirdly , sources could be unreliable and therefore resulting on false materials. Fourhly it is hard to quit, when ones feathers got ruffled. You don't know if you are debating one person or more.
Possible better ways: Begin with common prayer. Set the rules like no bad words permitted; equal time ;etc. Having a fair referee or umpire may help too. Set limits on time or agreeing to be able to call timeout. Agree to end debate when things are getting out of hand.
These are what comes out for now, you may add yours too.
As i understand from the Bible, when God first created man, man was in a stage of innocence. God told man about one forbidden tree, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, which man later took after being tempted by Satan. With that man got the sinful nature which lead to death or separation from God.
Has God lost man ? Man can only be saved through Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ died for the sins of man. Whosoever believe in Jesus Christ will have a new birth.
When man repents of his sins and believes in Jesus Christ, man receives his new nature or spiritual nature.
(for complete or detailed explanation please check your Bible or ask a mature Christian or Christian minister or worker).
Are we abiding in Jesus ? Nakatira ka ba kay Jesus ?
This blog is based on the gospel according to John chapter 15. In today's language , are we living in Jesus ? In Tagalog Nakatira ka ba o tayo kay Hesus ? Ito po ay hango sa aklat ni Juan, kapitulo 15.
Let us see what the Bible say . Tingnan po natin ang sinasabi ng Bibliya.
If we abide in Jesus or live in Jesus, we will bear fruit. Kung nakatira o nabubuhay tayo kay Kristo tayo ay magbubunga.
I read before that most of today's Christians think and act like the world. But according to apostle Paul which he wrote in Romans 12:2 that our minds should be renewed. So how can our minds be renewed ? Answer : through the Holy Spirit.
There was a saying: when in Rome do what the Romans do. This is same as when in the world do what the world does. But Christians are in the world but not of the world. So what should Christians do ?
First Christians are to read the Bible.I have been reading the Bible already but seems it does not get old it is always fresh.
Now if you have been a Christian for a long time but still experiencing difficulty then probably thinking eternity will help you focus on more important matters.
Will try to share ideas with you as they come along.
Before we separate for now i remember this thought abour prayer. Prayer does not change God but prayer changes us.
I remember in my high school days 1969 and before I use to carry a small crucifix in my pocket when i take exams. Got my first Bible in 1976 through my sister in law. Took Jesus as my Savior and Lord in 1982. Almost lost my life together with co workers when the Boiler main gas valve stem broke allowing full flow of gas to enter the very hot boiler in 2001. What saved us is the mixture was fuel rich which prevented explosion. I believe Jesus saved us from death that day. Looking back I could remember other situations when my life was spared.
In 2007 i was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease(PD). One of my test in my relationship with Jesus is going through my PD. 2019 at the age of 66 continue to grow in Christ.
Loving Jesus i believe is the greatest experience in life but the truth is Jesus first loved us and continue to love us.
Perhaps in eternity we will be sharing about our life in Jesus . How He love and save us.
