I wonder if Christiandom is aware that Christians have Jewish heritage.
I grew up in a place where Catholicism is the main religion. Catholicism which have many graven images which they claim help their senses or help their understanding. But I do not remember seeing statues of Abraham, Moses and David and Solomon.
According to Exodus 20:4-5 and Deuteronomy 5;8-9 The Jews or the Hebrews are commanded not to make any graven images.
According to the Catholics, Peter is the first pope but Peter in Acts 5:29 said we ought to obey God rather than men. Peter is a Jewish Christian, so most likely he does not have any graven image. Mary the mother of Jesus is also Jewish.
The sight of Jesus dying on the cross haunts me. It seems that image is quite troubling or is it numbing? Why can't we remember or imagine Jesus sitting on the throne in heaven getting or awaiting to come back to earth.
We know Jesus died for our sins. We believe He rose from the dead and ascended back to heaven and sat on the throne interceeding for us.
One of these days the skies will open.
Matthew 24:30,31 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
And He shall send His angels with a great sound of trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Let us take note of these: the tribes of the earth will mourn while the elect will be gathered from one end of heaven to the other.
Some of us are meticulous on some things or another. Some are so concerned with their health, that they eat and exercise well. There are many things we could be busy on but how about our soul or souls ?
Do we feed our soul with spiritual food ? Do we read the Bible ? pray ? meditate ? True we have body needs that requires attention and care but how about our soul or souls ? Do we know where our souls are going when we die ?
If you are already taking care of your soul, then i am happy for you. But if not then this is the time because we do not know what tomorrow will bring.
If you found Jesus already and will not let go of Him no matter what, then you may stop reading my blog or blogs. But if you do not have Jesus yet and still open then i hope my blog could be of help.
First the best place to find Jesus is in the Holy Bible. In life i heard many false beliefs about Jesus that can be corrected only by prayer and careful study of the Bible.
To be honest, I am still growing in the Christian faith. Thank God for His never ending love, grace and mercy. But when we die we will submit our life for judgment. According to Hebrews 9:27, And it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. Will we pass or fail ?
It has been ten years since I was diagnosed with Parkinsons. Slowly i can feel my body movements etc sort of disintegrating. Through the help of my doctor and understanding from my family , friends , and brethren i still manage to get by.
I kept seeking God to heal me, requesting prayers from my pastors and fellow Christians. But seems God answers with II Corinthians 12:9 ." My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness."
Apostle Paul then wrote therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
So i will encourage fellow Parkinsons owners to remember to Park in Son. So that the power of the Son manifests through us.
