Every new year we say happy new year and we can't wait to get away from the old year which we called new a year ago. So let me suggest new heart. A new heart is revealed in the Bible. The new heart(spiritual) will not get old. God gives new heart as revealed to the prophet Ezekiel.
This new heart is found in Jesus. Seek Jesus and you will have a new heart. The Holy Spirit will show and teach us as He has already done before in early believers and continually do in us.
When we have this heart like Jesus have, we too like David will have a heart after God's own heart.
Let the heart of Jesus and His heart beat be in us. This i believe is a prayer of faith.
May God give us our heart's desire through Jesus Christ our Lord.
How a simple engineered system illustrate relationship between God and man.
I was working in my yard messing around with my sprinkler when after a while my thoughts remembered my past beliefs. One of my old beliefs is i make my own destiny or i am the captain of my soul. But I have changed from that. Supposed i am one of the sprinkler heads, can i produce my own water and pressure ? The answer is water has to come from a source like dam or water utility system.
I submit to you that God is our Source.
Another example which is a little complicated is electricity. Imagine myself as a switch or a light bulb. I don't produce my own electricity but I get it from a source like a generator or electric generating station.
But here is the caution, we need to choose carefully who our source is.
I believe the God described in the Holy Bible is the true God. How about you ?
Revival according to Dictionary means a religious awakening, a renewal of special interest in or attention to religious services and duties in the subject of personal salvation. While apostasy is desertion of one's faith, religion, party, or principles.
How about revival as faith and obedience to the true God while apostacy as departure from faith and disobedience to the true God ?
May God bring revival in our lives today and forevermore.
The Bible says All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
The Bible says man's righteousness are like filthy rags.
Who then can be saved or go to heaven ?
Let us see what the Bible says about God as He reveal Himself.
God said He is One God revealed as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. By the way people debate on this revelation but for now let us not debate on it.
The Bible revealed that no one has seen God (the Father) at any time but God (the Son-Jesus) came to reveal Him by taking human form, and offer His body and blood as the sacrifice for man's sin/sins. God the HolySpirit is sent to reveal what Jesus has done and to give power to the believers (believers are those who believe in Jesus after God chooses them and enlightens with the Holy Spirit).
But how can man be accepted in heaven when we are all sinners and have failed ?
Remember Jesus took our sins and paid for them on the cross while we (those who believe in Jesus) were given Christ's righteousness. The Bible calls it the robe of righteousness. This exchange happened or happens as God's gift by grace through faith. The believers' names are then written in the Lamb's book of Life.
Those who have Christ's righteousness are then admitted to heaven. Those who do not have the robe of Christ's righteousness are sent away.
Now as reader or readers, you may be asking are these true ? Check the Bible, or ask your pastor or priest or elder. The answer or answers should be in the Bible.
The message of Jesus Christ is alive and well in social media
December 25,2017 or Christmas day is not quite over yet but the message of Jesus Christ has been circulating around the social media. The rule of exponential expansion is evident.
If only those likes and could be converted to commitment to Jesus Christ then the Christian's assignment to preach the gospel to every creature will be realized. Then that will lead to the promised return of Jesus Christ to rule and reign.
So to every Christian let us not grow weary. Keep on keeping on and soon and very soon we are going to see the King.
