Jesus is Eternal or Everlasting.

Jesus is Eternal or Everlasting

When we are in Jesus or in Christ, we are with the Eternal or Everlasting. Are you ready for this ? That means we are no longer limited by time.Think about this. When Jesus ( the God ) came out of eternity to became man, He went from eternal to finite in our physical world. After resurrecting Jesus went back to the heavens, sitting on the right hand of God.

Our mind can not fathom this yet because we are still in human form.

But soon and very soon, in a moment in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump (hmmm...)for the trumpet shall sound....and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed, ( see I Corinthians 15:52 to 58 )

Have you got your Bible yet ?

God and His adversary satan.

God and His adversary satan

First God is our Creator and satan a created angel, an archangel, a beautiful angel called lucifer, who later rebelled and desired to be god and became God's number one enemy.

Lucifer or Satan is a defeated foe. He was defeated by Jesus Christ on the cross. According to the Bible , satan is the god of this world. Satan is a deceiver and father of lies even masquerading as angel of light.

Unless Jesus is our Lord and Savior, we as human are still under the power of satan through the flesh.

To release ourselves from the control of satan, we need to come to Jesus, by repenting of our sins and asking God to forgive us through the sacrifice and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ and through the help of the Holy Spirit.

Coming to Jesus is what we know as being born again. As we become born again we need a more mature Christian to help us grow. We need somebody to disciple us, one or a church that teach love and truth.

What does it mean to have Jesus as our Lord and Savior ? It means Jesus is our Master, He is our God. He is also our Savior because He died for us and resurrected and now in heaven preparing to return to get or be with His people and to judge the unbelievers.

Jesus asked Peter, " Do you love me ?"

Jesus asked Peter, " Do you love me ?"

Because Peter denied Jesus three times before Jesus went to the cross, the Lord Jesus after His resurrection asked Peter three times too if or do Peter love Him.,  This account is recorded in the book of John chapter 21:15-19.

I believe Jesus ask us the same question, Do we love Jesus ? We could be attending in our church of choice for almost a lifetime but have we asked ourselves the same question, do you (or I ) love Jesus ?

Probably this blog is for those who are not sure of their relationship with Jesus. This could also be for those who receive a different Jesus, someone different from the real Jesus.

Let us love Jesus and let us show that by obeying His commands.Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength. And love our neighbors as ourselves.

Personal relationship with Jesus Christ

Personal relationship with Jesus Christ

When we believe in Jesus , that is when we truly believe in Jesus, we will have a personal relationship with Him. Why ? Because there is only one you and only one me. No one else knows us more (as far as humans) but God knows us more even the whole us.

That relationship is known only to you and the Lord. If we have to ask somebody else for that relationship then we do not have it.

If you are interested to know about  that relationship, please read and meditate on John chapter 15. Perhaps a personal prayer to God through Jesus will start it or strengthen it.

Perhaps this is getting deeper, but that is how it should be.

To be continued...

Did God made a mistake ?

Did God made a mistake ?

Did God made a mistake in creating you and me ? I do not know about you, but I thought He made a mistake with me. Growing up people noticed I am a slow person, of course I noticed that too. I grew up in the province so it was not so much a problem but when I lived in the city of Manila and Quezon City and then migrated to USA, I thought my slowness could be a problem.

Even worked as a power plant operator and I believe I did alright. I have always desired to be a fast person but I guess that is how God wired me to be a slow person.

Meanwhile let me share what i read in the Bible in Ecclesiastes 9:11 Solomon wrote I returned and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift nor the battle to the strong, neither yet riches to men of understanding nor yet favor to men of skill, but time and chance happened to them all.

Do you believe that ?

Well at church maybe God will let me be fast, so I tried  to hurry things up but i was wrong. God has His timing.

God is right in creating me slow. Like a turtle i still won some race, but when I tried to be a rabbit, that is when I failed or ran to trouble.

How about you ?

John 3:16

John 3:16

This is what I know about John 3:16 for those who might be wondering what it is. John 3:16 is a verse out of 32,000 verses + in the Bible. John one of the apostles of Jesus Christ wrote a book or account of his life with Jesus which is also called the gospel (good news) according to John (the beloved, not John the Baptist). As I understand the account was originally written in Greek and under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. John needed supernatural help to be able to write it. There were no numbers on the account before till somebody got led to assign chapter and verse on the Bible books which means collection of books (sacred books).

As you can tell i am not a theologian but bear with me.Perhaps we can say John 3:16 is one of the descriptions of our Lord's cross or death on the cross or sacrifice on the cross.

John 3:16 says For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son (Jesus Christ) that whosoever believe in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

You may ask , how can believing in Jesus Christ give us everlasting life?

The Bible says all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). Because of man's fall we are unable to meet God's standard. Perhaps you may say, why can't God lower His standard ? Even before man sinned God already has a plan , that is to sacrifice His Son. Jesus is also called the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

The animal sacrifice and the law and the prophets and the psalms taught to the Israelites or the Jews are the  picture or preview of the coming of Jesus Christ into this world.

Jesus Christ died for our sins or He paid our debts in full. And He rose again guaranteeing our future resurrection if we believe in Him.

Perhaps this is hard to explain in a blog so if you are still curious, I pray that you'll ask a priest or a pastor or a Christian.

Discovered more than a gold mine.

Discovered more than a gold mine

First to appreciate this blog one need to believe the Bible because what you are about to read came from the Bible.

Did you know what King David wrote in Psalm 119 ? By the way King David is referred to in the Bible as a man after God's own heart.

King David or David wrote in Psalm 119:127 "Because I love your commands more than gold, more than pure gold.  If you want affirmation of this, see also Psalm 19.

So where's more than a gold mine, you may ask ? Well the Bible contains God's words, laws, commands, statutes, decrees, testimonies, love, blessings, works, grace, mercy and ways, ordinances, rules and His Son Jesus Christ and His Spirit, the Holy Spirit and much more, most of all God Himself.

After 40 years of reading it, I believe there's more to be discovered or revealed. Halleluia !!!

Sample BIVER or Bible verse recall system

Sample Biver or Bible verse number recall system.

Supposed you want to recall or store in memory your favorite verse, say John 3:16. My avatar shows the example. Another example is Psalm 119:176. Maybe you can ask a friend to see if it can be understood properly.

Will we be happy in heaven when the time comes?.

Will we be happy in heaven when the time comes ?

Some says , of course it is a happy place. Some will say I do not know if I will be there. Some will say is there heaven ? where is it ? are we supposed to be there ?

Questions like these are what we call faith questions, because it is based on something we can not see but believe. We can not prove it till it comes.

Perhaps we can call the Bible the Faith book, because it is written about something in the past, present and the future that we can not see. Maybe you'll say maybe it is not true. But can you prove they never happened, not happening or will not happen ?

One example, in 1976 I came across an unread Bible, I just graduated from college, waiting for board exams result. While reading it, I came upon an statement that heaven is a gift.At that time I believe that heaven is a reward for our good works. So there's a conflict there, so i set out to prove the Bible wrong. Years passed by, and I found out the Bible is right heaven is a free gift, I can not earn it, no matter how hard I try.

Do you agree with me ? If not search the Bible.

Now back to the question , will  we be happy in heaven when the time comes ? first to be happy there , we need to be anticipating it. But you may say , you said it is free. Friend not because it is free, we will be there, We have to want it or desire it. If someone offers a free watch or something,we have to come and get it or claim or ask it.

do you want to see Jesus ? then desire to see Him. Would you like to live with Him forever ? Then find out what He is about.

John 14:6

John 14:6

Jesus said He is the way, the truth and the life, no one  come to the Father except through Him. Is Jesus the only way to the Father ? Looks like that is what the verse is saying. But none of us started with Jesus. We were travelling in life till we meet Jesus along the way. What is my point ? we came from all walks of life, so in a way we are all different. But what happens when we meet Jesus ? Either we walk with Him(follow Him) or continue with our own path.

What happen when we follow Jesus ? We see His likes and dislikes, His passion, His love and His ways.

Perhaps when we walk with Jesus, we will walk and live like Him and act like Him or be like Him. Alas , i am a slow learner but I see Jesus as a patient Teacher and forgiving and merciful Master and that is why He is worth following and more.
