What Jesus did for us.

What Jesus did for us.

I hope this blog will help Christians to be united to fellow Christians and be examples to the world. This morning I was looking at my notes on my discipleship study and I thought of consolidating them. I thought of transferring them to a three ring binder. As I look at my readings , a thought came to me to write about what Jesus did for us.

Our becoming Christians started with what Jesus did for us. Let us look at what Jesus did for us.

Jesus came to earth in human form to live a sinless life and offer His life a ransom for many. What does this mean ? In the Jewish way of worship, the Jews were taught to love God and obey His commandments. And because of man's sin nature, man has the tendency to follow his own way and to disobey God. God also taught man the way of sacrifice, that is the offering of unblemish animals for man's sin. The lives of the Israelites or the Jews reflected man's weakness that men can not follow the laws of God and the blood of animals can not fully atone for man's sin.

It is for this man's inability that Jesus came. Jesus became sin or took our sins and took the penalty for our sins. All our sins are paid on the cross. The insults, the pain, the thorn, the lashes, the heavy burden of sin,our sicknesses, our evil works are placed on Jesus.

We are accepted in the kingdom of God not because of what we have done but because of what Jesus has done on the cross.

Perhaps you may ask do we have to do anything ? Yes repent of our sins and accept what Jesus has done for us. And because of what Jesus has done , God also gave His Holy Spirit to help us. And how does the Holy Spirit help us ? He works in our life to make us live as Jesus live. We know we still fail but do not give up, God will see us through.

Christians of all denominations or non denominations are saved by the work of God through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. We have only One Source.

May we also share to the world this life in Jesus Christ and to live in the ways of the kingdom of God.

Journey to the heart of God

Journey to the heart of God

Today I was staring at my lap top thinking what to blog about. I was thinking of the sequel for God's love and God's wrath. I guess it is hard to imagine love and wrath at the same time.

I am still thinking about our study on prayer that our pastor gave which in turn reveal the Father's love. We know love comes from the heart or what we desire. According to the Bible no one really seeks after God so in that case when we seek God , that seeking must come from God Himself through the working of the Holy Spirit. When we seek someone we have to know what he or she looks like. What the person like and dislike. Knowing what the person like or dislike reveals the heart of the person we are looking for.

Jesus said in the sermon on the mount, Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God. Who are the pure in heart ? I believe to be pure in heart is to be cleanse by God. How can we be cleansed by God ? We have to seek Him first, is it not ? Have you found God, have you found His heart ? We say we believe in God, we all say we believe in God except the atheists. For those of us who say we believe in God, our belief in God is shown by what we do, say or think .

But alas, I do not know if we could make an accurate assessment of ourselves. Like King David we have to ask God to search our heart and see if there is any wickedness in us. Since King David is called the man of God's own heart, one way to find God's heart is to look at the life of King David. The best way is to look at Jesus because He came to reveal the Father. Also another way is to spend some time with God. How you may ask ? through prayer, reading the Scriptures (Holy Bible) etc.

Again we are in a journey, we are not there yet, so till next time.

God's love and God's wrath.

God's love and God's wrath

Just recently I had many encounters with a fellow blogger who seems to be focused on judgment and punishment. As far as I know television preachers and churches and myself are focused on God's love , grace and forgiveness.

My encounters led to my own soul searching as to what to write about. The ten commandments are about do's and don'ts. The life of the Israelites are characterized by obedience and disobedience. They were blessed when they obeyed and punished when they disobeyed .

When our Lord Jesus came to earth in human form, He showed love and forgiveness and love for sinners and gave His sinless life for the sins of the world. Does that mean all are forgiven ? that there is no more punishment ?

Before Jesus was crucified, Jesus gave commandments or truths or questions like " why call Him Lord and  not do what He says. Jesus also preached about hell ( which could refer to grave or lake of fire).

Fast forward to our modern times, when there were some fire and brimstone preachers maybe some 30 or 40 years ago.Now most preachers are about faith, love, positive messages, and me (as blogger) included who have not written about the lake of fire.

How about contemplating with me on the aspect of God's love and so called God's wrath ? but wait the Bible says leave aspects like revenge or anger to Him to settle for He said " Vengeance is His, He will repay " says the Lord.

(to be continued)

John 3:16-18

John 3:16-18

Taken from the Holy Bible- New International Version

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Whoever believes in him is not condemned , but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son."

Questions for Jeffcc.

Questions for Jeffcc.

I could have kept quiet until I read this on Jeffcc's recent blog and i quote:

The more I am judged, not liked, hated and scorned, the better I am doing because I was told years ago exactly how my life would become through a world of peds still on the bottle and in filthy diapers because they refuse the words of Christ being truth with cleansing. I can easily love the man with Christlike love, but I don't have to like him for destroying God's truth through his theories and philosphies while being selfrighteous and in darkness.

Comment: Jeffcc looks at the world , attacks the world and me. Personally those are heavy accussations or judgments on me.Obvious is his use of world of peds...and of course the world has only one Jeffcc.Jeff's style is when one disagrees with him, he is sure the other side is wrong.

Jeffcc uses the Old Testament a lot and he has attraction for judgment verses and he avoids restoration verses.

Whereas God's heart is to sacrifice, forgive and restore and again is shown in King David's heart who is called a man after God's own heart where David refuse to harm King Saul. Imagine Jeff's heart which is bent on destruction. Jeffcc avoids Jesus sacrifice on the cross in his writing in understanding people. Jeffcc keeps demanding people to live in the Old Testament while he puffs his cigarettes and use foul and obscene language to describe others, and claim he is devoted to God while brilliantly fabricating lies about himself and others.

Questions and suggestions to Jeffcc:

1. Why don't you let your neighbors talk about yourself ?

2. Do you know  anybody by the name of Charmaine and Matthew and Stephen Lynd ?( just simple yes or no is good enough answer)

3. Where will you be when the judgment you are talking about happens ?

4. What Holy Days should Christian observe ?

Mood: None, or other

The Christian Community according to Jeffcc.

The Christian Community according to Jeffcc.

When I read the blogs of Jeffcc here is what I noticed. He has nothing good to say about the Christians. He denounced the celebration of Christmas and Easter and Halloween. Halloween is not really a Christian holiday. So what holidays or Holy Days should the Christian observe ?

Jeffcc writes in many websites and he displays them like they are his degrees or diplomas. What I noticed were what he writes conflicts with one another.  For example , he claims he is a sinner like Paul in one and claims a very righteous man in another. In one I saw his application for welding Supervisor with vast experience and good recommendation and another he claim he is handicap.

In one website or in his writings he warns about judgment to America and rest of the world and in others he claims all are going to be saved.

He claims he is still in Facebook in his list and in his other writings he said or wrote that he is banned in Facebook  for writing a loving comment to others.

He never blamed Satan for the evils that he sees and believes God is using Satan to identify evil. Not mentioning that Satan means adversary.

His blogs are usually long and accusatory and outrageous and controversial, and self promoting and comment provoking I believe as a smokescreen for what he really writes. And if one wants to check the truth or tries to give him a fair hearing then one has to keep viewing them. These viewings are then unnecessary magnified to over 103,000 views. He has about 500 blogs with average 50 -100 views each. But each view is not one person.

Another claim is that others are haters while claiming he is about love. If he is really about love he will intercede for the world that he claims is due for judgment.

One of his favorite is the book of Ezekiel but he zeroed in on the judgment aspect with disregard to restoration.

In fairness what I saw in his writings are condemnation of Christians and the world. Hopelessness of man. His self edification of being a martyr in his view.

Another thing he could not account where he will be when his anticipated judgment of the world come.

He expect people to help him while he writes about judgment, condemnation, lies, disassociation from mankind specially those involved with churches.

He is proud to display his bible and wrote in one writing that he spent 12 hours a day reading it, only to come up with writings I mentioned above.

It is not good for man to be alone

It is not good for man to be alone.

I will mention Revelation 7:9 again which mentioned innumerable people in white robes in heaven in which the Holy Spirit revealed that many will come or came to Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

The only way we can be acceptable to God is through His Son Jesus Christ. No amount of self effort and self sacrifice can we earn God's favor. If any person thinks he can master the Bible on his own then he is sadly mistaken . Is'nt it  if any such person  exist that the Bible is translated from original scriptures by men inspired by God and these translation are copied and printed by man. In other words no man is an island.

Let us look at what is happening. God came into this world in human form and was or is called Emmanuel or God with us. His name is Jesus.Jesus became the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. Jesus trained selected men and they were told to bring the gospel to Jerusalem, Samaria and the uttermost part of the world. These evangelization has been happening for about two thousand years now .When Peter preached in the book of Acts ,3000 people got saved in one day. The Holy Spirit is still here today so still many are being saved.

Even Paul has Barnabbas and Timothy and others. So if anyone thinks he can be alone and be righteous alone, i think there is something wrong.

Destiny of Satan (Lucifer)- Revelation 20:10

Destiny of Satan (Lucifer)- Revelation 20:10

Why a blog on Satan ? satan has been behind deception( lies appearing as truth), evil, troubles, hate, war on God's people etc.. The Bible even revealed that he is the god of this world. Master deceiver and is God's adversary.

So what is the destiny of Satan ? Let us look at the Bible. Revelation 20:10

And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

So if you believe in Jesus and the enemy is harassing you. Remember Satan is already defeated on the cross. Satan still works through our flesh and in the world  though but that is why God gave us the Holy Spirit and blood of Jesus Christ and Word of God as written in the Holy Bible.

I Peter 5:8 says Be self controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

And the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To Him be the power for ever and ever. Amen

Jesus is coming soon !

Jesus is coming soon !

From New International Version - Revelation 22:12 -16 " Behold , I am coming soon!  My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. I am Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

I , Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the bright Morning Star.

The Spirit and the bride say, " Come!" And let him who hears say,"Come!" Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.

Ezekiel 18:23 and II Peter 3:9

Ezekiel 18:23

" Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die ? said the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live ?

Peter wrote in  II Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us -ward, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God,wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat ?

Nevertheless we,according to his promise, look for new heavens and new earth, wherein dwell righteousness.

Wherefore, beloved, seeing that you look for such things, be diligent that you may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

.. But grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen.
