Philippians 3:16 - "I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."
Paul spoke about the desire to attain. There is no standing still. We are renewed by the Spirit. We never get into a new place until we come out of the old one (Genesis 12:1-4).
We must see revelation of God's purpose for our life and learn about who we are in Christ and our right standing with God. We can never be satisfied to stay where we are spiritually, for the truth continues to enlighten us.
We must move on, or we will perish. We must be obedient to the Holy Spirit who guides us.
Isaiah 40:31 - "but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
We let the Lord take our heart through a process. Just as Peter had to go through a series of events to be ready to be used in an extraordinary way, we realize that God has a process for all of us. What the Lord worked in Peter was a new identity, a dependency upon the Lord so that he would not trust in His own strength.
We learn to lean on the strength of God, not taking things into our own hands.
WE WALK IN DISCERNMENT BEING AN INFLUENCE FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD
Philippians 1:9-11 - "And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God."
Keep your discernment. Love and discernment work together. We do not turn on love and turn off discernment. We do not turn on discernment and turn off love. Rather, we use them both together. True discernment comes from the Holy Spirit Who pours the love of God in our hearts. Jesus comes to bring the cure. That cure can only happen because He sees what is needed.
WE KEEP OUR HEART FREE AND WALK IN LOVE
Matthew 5:9 - "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God."
Be willing to reconcile with others who are embittered against you. Some may be in a bitter place not wanting to reconcile. Maybe they "cut you off" because of their bitterness. Just realize you need to be willing to be a peacemaker. Pray that the Lord will tenderize their heart and fill them with the love of God. Bitterness blinds people. Walk in love and pray that God gives them the heart for repentance.
WE GET UNDERSTANDING ON SOWING SEED AND HARVEST TIME
2 Corinthians 9:6,7 - "But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver."
Make an effort to understand the power of sowing and reaping. Realize that all God has entrusted to us we are the steward of. In that way, all that we have is seed that can be sown into the lives of others. Money is only one thing that we sow. Our time, prayers, and worship are also seed that is sown. If we want increase in our life, both in the spirit and in the natural, we need to get the revelation of seedtime and harvest. Who doesn't want a harvest in their lives? Who doesn't want to bear fruit that remains for the Kingdom? But we have to sow in order to reap.
WE ARE ALL COMMANDED TO DO THE WORK OF MINISTRY
John 21:17 - "He said to him the third time, 'Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?' Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, 'Do you love Me?' And he said to Him, 'Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.' Jesus said to him, "Feed My sheep.'" One of the unique things about the Church of the New Covenant is that God has authorized and commanded every believer to do the work of the ministry, thereby, sowing our time and focus into the lives of others! God wants an entire army of workers out doing the vital work of DISCIPLESHIP of the saints and building up His Body, the Church.
Many churches are so focused on the salvation message that they fail to feed and help mature the sheep who have already come to salvation. Believers should be equipped to DISCIPLE the new believers so they will be effective in equipping others for personal ministry.
"My children with who I am again in labor until Christ is formed in you.." - Galatians 4:19 The true success of our ministry to others will be by how it brought forth the formation of Christ within the person God has given us to DISCIPLE.
James 3:17 - "But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy."
As we speak the tender mercies of the Word over a problem, our faith begins to rise up within us. We then release words of faith and plant seeds of power. These seeds then begin to grow up and become greater than the problems.
They begin to bear fruit -- fruit of deliverance, healing, miracles, love, joy, and peace. Souls are drawn into the Kingdom as Jesus is lifted up by the words of our mouth.
James 3:17 says that the Word is without hypocrisy. That means when we call things that be not as though they were, we're not lying or being hypocrites. We are not speaking lies or deceptions. We are speaking seeds of faith -- the seeds that start the process of God's operations in our lives will change our entire surroundings.
We are entering a new season of a fresh start! We are in a divinely appointed time of refreshing and restoring:
"So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, who has dealt wondrously with you; and My people shall never be put to shame" (Joel 2:25-26). This is a new day in which you may boldly declare, "Old things have passed away!" (see Isaiah 48:6-7).
GOD OFFERS FORGIVENESS
One of the sweetest words in any language is the word forgiven! God promises that even if your sins are red like crimson – bright, obvious, glaring, unmistakable – they have been forgiven, washed white as snow, because of the Crimson Blood of Christ (see Isaiah 1:18)! Not just a few sins or a handful of mistakes, but each and every betrayal, sin, and offense is under the Blood of Christ. Each and every mistake is forgotten and erased. It makes no difference how twisted and tangled your life has been or now is: Through the shed Blood of Christ at Calvary, God has made all forgiveness and grace abound toward you! Heaven and earth may pass away, but "His compassions fail not" (Lamentations 3:20-22). Why? Because Christ Jesus already bore our sins and iniquities! "with the transgressors, and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors." - Isaiah 53:12
GOD FORGETS YOUR PAST
Through our repentance, God always makes a way to free us from our past. We take this encouragement to heart -- not letting our past failures keep us from experiencing our future victories! We remember this vital promise: "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death" (Romans 8:1-2 KJV).
The Lord has already lavished us with abundant, extravagant forgiveness and grace to empower us to leave behind: every single past sin and failure, the days of regret,
doubt and fear,
the many missed opportunities and failed relationships,
the seasons of backsliding and passivity,
the detours of the works of the flesh.
As we believe His Word of forgiveness and set our heart to seek the Lord, we will find overwhelming grace and mercies for each day (see Jeremiah 29:12-13).
AFFIRMATIONS: I never give up.
I never give in again to a mindset of guilt and failure (see Hebrews 10:35)
I was created to carry His glory and presence into a lost and dying world.
God has confidence in me. (see Deuteronomy 28:13).
I am His choice (see Ephesians 2:10), chosen for "such a time as this". (Esther 4:14)
GOD REDEEMS YOUR WOUNDS
Truly, it was by the stripes of Jesus Christ that we were healed (see Isaiah 53:5). Even the wounds that we have suffered will become great avenues of healing. When we are healed from our wounds -- then we receive grace for healing others! We bring Christ's healing and comfort to others in the areas in which we ourselves have been afflicted (see 1 Thessalonians 5:11).
GOD BRINGS BREAKTHROUGH
God is even now releasing divine favor to us for accomplishing great exploits for His glory. In Psalm 84:11 (NLT), we learn how He lavishes His blessings of grace and glory:
"For the LORD God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The LORD will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right."
Matthew 7:8 AMP -- "For everyone who keeps on asking receives; and he who keeps on seeking finds; and to him who keeps on knocking, the door will be opened."
Even if you have not had revelation of God's CALLING on your life, do not lose heart! God is saying, "Try again!" It is time to regroup and try again, knowing that failure is never God's plan (see Jeremiah 29:11). You will see doors open that were closed to you previously. God is granting breakthrough.
We experience the overwhelming love and favor of God as you leave the past behind and boldly take hold of the blessings and promises of God!
2 Corinthians 5:17 - "All things have become new."
1 Corinthians 3:23 - "you are Christ's and Christ is God's."
God means for us to walk in this royal way. Jesus left us the responsibility of allowing Him to bring forth through us the greater works (John 14:12). If we do not step into God's purpose for our life, it is a tragedy.
God is waiting for us to act. Jesus lived a life of perfect activity. There is no standing still. "As He is, so are we in this world." (1 John 4:17). We must dare to press on until God comes forth in mighty power -- press on until Jesus is glorified.
Genesis 1:26 - "Then God said, 'Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.'"
God created you and commanded you to dominate the earth. God wouldn't have made that demand if you couldn't do it.
You have the potential to dominate the earth because God placed within every human being the ability to dominate the planet.
You dare not complain when you are dominated by the earth because God has placed within you the capacity to do whatever He asks. He did not give you the responsibility without also giving you the ability. He created you with the ability to dominate the earth.
1 John 2:27 - "As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you,"
According to the scriptures, before you were born again, you were without the Anointed One (Jesus). If you were without the Anointed One you were also without the anointing.
But now, since you are one with Christ, you are in the anointing of Jesus. The anointing is available to you in every situation you face to destroy every yoke of bondage. The anointing of God is God on flesh doing those things only God can do.
So, whatever you are facing today, begin factoring in the anointing in your life. If a yoke is holding you back, then rejoice, because the anointing will destroy it!
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." - Hebrews 11:1
If we will only live in the Spirit and the unction of the Spirit, there will be no lack. There is only lack where faith is not "substance". If we will obey the Lord there is nothing He will not give us since He has given us Jesus -- because He has given us Jesus He has given us all things.
Our hearts ought to always burn. There is a place where we can live in the unction and the clothing of the Spirit, where our words will be clothed with power.
".....be not drunk with wine...but be filled with the Spirit." - Ephesians 5:18
We have power to loose, and power to bind in the Spirit. If we breathe His thoughts into our thoughts, and live in the unction of the Holy Spirit as He lived, then there will be evidences that we are in Him; and His works we will do -- but only in the Spirit.
There is no limit as to what we may become if we dwell and live in the Spirit. In the Spirit of prayer, we are taken from earth right away into heaven -- and it is only in the Spirit that the love of God is shed abroad in us.
As we speak in the Spirit, the fire which burned in the hearts of the two men on their way to Emmaus when Jesus walked with them, is burning in our heart. It is sure to come to pass when we walk with Him, our hearts will burn; it is the same power of the Spirit.
God is bringing us to a place where we know the Spirit of the Lord is upon us.
AFFIRMATION: The Spirit of the Lord is upon me. - (Luke 4:18)
Mark 11:23,24 - "...shall not doubt in his heart but shall BELIEVE THAT WHAT HE SAYS shall be done, WHATSOEVER HE SAYS SHALL BE DONE unto him. Therefore I say unto you, whatever things you desire, when you pray, BELIEVE THAT YOU RECEIVE them, and you shall have them."
Believing is an action word. Just before Jesus told us in Mark 11:24 to believe that we receive, He told us in verse 23 that we "we shall have whatever we say." Put those two together and you'll see what a powerful thing it is when you actually say the phrase, "I believe I receive."
Something happens in your spirit when you say those words. When you constantly say with your mouth, "I believe I receive my healing," or "I believe I receive my financial needs met," and then quote the scriptures that back those things, faith is released to bring power to bear in the areas of those needs.
When everything looks the worst, we say it the loudest, I BELIEVE I RECEIVE!
