"We proclaim how great You are and tell of the wonderful things you have done." - Psalm 75:1
During difficult seasons, we have a choice. We can get negative and discouraged and talk about how things are not going to work out, or we can switch over into praise and thanksgiving which opens the door for God to move on our behalf.
Breakthrough comes as we change our focus. Praise always precedes the victory. Today, we may have been dwelling on the wrong things and focusing in the wrong direction, switch over into praise and thanksgiving. Begin to declare that God is good. Declare that He is faithful. Declare His praises and open the door to victory in every area of your life!
PRAYER: Father God, today I humbly come before You, lifting You up and magnifying Your holy name. Thank You for Your goodness and faithfulness in my life. I bless You and honor You for Your goodness in Jesus’ name. Amen!
Pray the Word over your life, over the life of your loved ones, and over your city and nation.Ephesians 6:12 says, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
The Sword is in your hand (Ephesians 6:17) and the fire of the Spirit is upon your sword. Use it to cut down all that has exalted itself against the truth and life of Christ in you. There is life in your mouth and the fire of the Spirit is igniting your tongue to release resurrection life. We must stop wrestling against flesh and blood and begin to be the warriors that carry freedom and life into all that we do and everywhere that we go. You carry resurrection life within you because Christ is in you. He is alive! You are free from the slavery of sin and carry the righteousness of Christ in you. His righteousness is your righteousness!
It is time to pick up your fiery sword and allow the words of your mouth to defeat all that has been exalted against God's ways, truth, freedom, and life. We are warriors with the sword of victory in our hands.
"Son of man, can these bones live? and I answered, O Lord God, Thou knowest" (Ezekiel 37:3)
God wants men and women who are willing to submit and submit, and yield and yield to the Holy Spirit until their bodies are saturated and soaked with God -- you then realize that God your Father has you in such a condition that at any moment He can reveal His will to you.
The Lord desires us to enter into a deeper level of pressing into Him, or what is called "pursuit after Him." It is a stirring of the Holy Spirit deep within that literally awakens your inner man, so that YOU KNOW THAT YOU KNOW there is something more that He wants to share with you. This is called HOLY HUNGER.
"O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee; my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is." - Psalm 63:1
AFFIRMATIONS: God is bringing my life to a new beginning.
I press into and lay hold of the kingdom of heaven in an aggressive way.
I have a burning heart of fiery witness and passion when it comes to exhorting others in their walk with God.
Philippians 3:7-9 -- "But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him."
At some point I have to cease being a spiritual encyclopedia (That is, collecting more facts, opinions, illustrations, and interpretations, and then presenting them as my faith).
I make a quality decision today to turn myself over to God, submit to His training and breaking so that He can discard all that hinders me from seeing Christ as He is.....In God's eyes. My only hope for salvation from lesser things is Christ.....a greater Christ than the one I have been content with until now.
Hebrews 1:2,3 -- "Hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, whom He hath appointed Heir of all things, by whom He made the worlds. Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high."
1 Corinthians 4:20 - "For the kingdom of God does not consist in words, but in power."
We are called to be forerunners and messengers of the coming kingdom. The power of our message will be directly related to the power of the life that is in us. Our goal is to live and reveal the power of the life that is in Christ Jesus. Our life and character should be so different and powerful in Christlikeness, that we stand out because of them. Not only are we a priesthood, we are a "royal" priesthood. Christians are the true royalty on earth.
THE POWER THAT I HAVE BEEN GIVEN TO TESTIFY OF THE COMING KINGDOM IS THE POWER OF LIFE.
THIS LIFE IS INFINITELY MORE PRECIOUS THAN ANYTHING I COULD EVER POSSESS ON THIS EARTH.
MY IDENTITY IS TRULY IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST AND MY PRIESTLY CALLING TO MINISTER AND INTERCEDE FOR OTHERS ON A DAILY BASIS.
“So [Israel] came up to Baal-perazim, and David smote [the Philistines] there. Then David said, God has broken my enemies by my hand, like the bursting forth of waters. Therefore they called the name of that place Baal-perazim [Lord of breaking through].” - 1 Chronicles 14:11, AMP
David likened God’s power to the bursting forth of waters. In other words, he described it as a flood. He was saying that when the God of the breakthrough shows up and releases His power, it will be like a flood of His goodness, a flood of His favor, a flood of healing, a flood of new opportunity.
Today, you may have difficulties that look extremely large, obstacles that look impassable, dreams that look unobtainable. EXPECT that God is going to overwhelm you with victory in every area of your life today! When the God of the breakthrough releases a flood of His power, nothing can stop it. Get ready for a flood of God’s favor, a tidal wave of His goodness, a tsunami of His increase!
Father, I am overwhelmed with You today. I submit to You every area of my life; my thoughts, my attitude, my body. Thank You for flooding me with Your healing, favor, and strength today as I surrender my entire being to You in Jesus’ name. Amen.
"And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of God." - Ephesians 5:18-21
When God floods our lives there is an overflow that passes from one person to another. Religion and bad teaching have made people believe they have nothing to give. When God pours into you His manifested tangible presence. Believe that you have something to give. Don't be shut down by the tentacles of religion. Find freedom in faith knowing that God's presence and glory is in you and is "transferable."
Psalm 119:105,111 - Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart.
The attitude of those who live from the triumph of Christ is different than those who live under the influence of their past. The only part of the past that we have legal access to is the testimony of the Lord. The rest is dead, buried, forgotten, and covered under the blood. The past should have no negative effect on the way we live, as the blood of Jesus is more than sufficient. Living FROM the victory of Christ is the privilege for every believer.
Affirmation: Since I am in Christ I am in another reality and another life altogether.
"Those who know their God will do great exploits." (Daniel 11:32) God wants His people to walk in such a realm of knowing Him that as soon as we walk into a place, we can discern what is God or what is not of God. He wants us to come to the point that we are living according to the promise of 1 John 2:2 and 7, that we have an "anointing within to teach you." He wants to DEMONSTRATE MIGHTY ACTS through our lives. One of the things that the Lord wants to begin to manifest through the church is a people who are living by KNOWING God, who aren't bouncing off every wall but are guided by the Holy Spirit.
I have to be willing to stretch beyond what I think is possible. i.e. My reach needs to exceed my grasp. I have to stretch from my spirit man through faith. Luke 6:9-10 - And Jesus said to them, “I ask you, is it lawful to do good or to do harm on the Sabbath, to save a life or to destroy it?” After looking around at them all, He said to him, “Stretch out your hand!” And he did so; and his hand was restored.
There is something NEW God wants to do in each of us. What God is about to do exists in our future ahead of us in that unexplored, supernatural campground called the Kingdom of God. It will not be accomplished through human soulish striving but by a revelation of the Spirit and the activation of our faith to speak in agreement with God's DESTINY plan for our lives.
Affirmation: I am renewed in the spirit of my mind: and I put on the new man, which after God has created in righteousness and true holiness.
You have resurrection power attached to your prayer life! You can look to things that are absolutely dead and pray forth eternal LIFE! The same power in us is the same potency God demonstrated when He raised Jesus out of the grave. "His power at work in us who believe. This power in us is the same as the mighty strength which He used when He raised Christ from death...." - Ephesians 1:20
Jesus is the fulfillment of the promised land for our lives. We no longer have to settle for manna. We can eat the food of the land of promise. There is variety, color, fullness, and life for us in the promised land. No more desert, no more dry places. The promises of God bring us into a land of abundance, and the overflow with new adventures of conquest and expansion. Springs of life and rivers of living water overflow here. All of this is ours in the promised land.
The people of God in Isaiah's day had starved their imagination by looking on the face of idols., and Isaiah made them begin to use their imagination aright. Rouse yourself - deliberately turn your imagination to God.
"Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things." - Isaiah 40:26
Under the unction and anointing of the Holy Spirit there comes a divine release as you are propelled forward into God's plan and destiny for your life. As you take a "leap of faith" out of the nest of comfort and familiarity, you launch out into the deep. -- Am I willing to leave behind everything?
The World is Getting Darker...But We Should Get Excited!
This is truly the Kairos moment for our generation.
Where are the ones that are going to walk in the authority and the power that God has given us?
HIS POWER AND AUTHORITY IN US
John 14:12-14, - "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it."
When we stand on the Scripture in John 14, it doesn't matter how dark the world gets because we have the power of God living within us. Jesus told the disciples that it's better that I go away and that the Holy Spirit comes. Jesus states that you would do everything that I do and you will even do more than I do. This should give the Body of Christ such hope and excitement, knowing that Jesus gave us the power from Heaven to rule this earth with power and authority. Jesus says anything that we ask in His name will be given unto us.
Ephesians 6:12 - "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the ruler of darkness of this age." Another translation says: "Your hand-to-hand combat is not with human beings but against the highest principalities and authorities operating in rebellion under heavenly realms." We have authority because we fight in the heavenly realms.
2 Corinthians 10:4-5 - "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God."
We have the ability through God to pull down strongholds and cast down arguments.
Romans 16:20 - "And the God of peace will crush satan under your feet shortly."
We fight from victory not for victory. The word crush means to deform, pulverize or force in word by compressing forcefully. That's exactly what we do to the enemy because we have the power and authority from God.
THE JUST SHALL WALK BY FAITH
Last day warriors will be fearless for the Kingdom of God!
James 4:7-8, "Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you."
In Matthew 4, when Jesus was in the wilderness to fast and pray for 40 days, the devil kept messing with Him. Jesus said this, "Away with you satan." When you're completely submitted to God, you have the power to resist the devil because of the authority that Jesus gave us. Once you resist the enemy the Bible says that he will flee from you, then we draw near towards our father, and He will draw near to us. There is a remnant arising in America today that will resist the devil because we believe that there is a great move of God coming to America and a great awakening.
1 Peter 5:8-9 says, "The enemy comes like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist the enemy and stay steadfast in the faith."
As Believers we should not be moved or shaken by any attack of the enemy. When the enemy roars, stay strong in the faith and submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee. Now is the time that the children of God must stand up, stand out and be counted on. We must remember key versus like Ephesians 6:10, "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and the power of His might." Verses like this encourage us because it's not our strength that we stand in, but with the power and the ability that God has given us in the strength from on high to fight the battle.
We can no longer preach and teach lightly about spiritual warfare but this needs to be one of the main teachings that we equip the saints of God within this hour to stand fast in all that God has promised us.
Luke 10:19 - "Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you."
The Lord has given us authority and power and the guarantee that we will be victorious. The enemy comes in and tries to silence your faith with fear. When the Lord's voice is the loudest voice in your life (through building yourself up in the Word), you will never be conquered by fear because your faith level is so high.
Luke 9:1 - "And He called the disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases."
God is looking for a remnant of His children to stand up in that authority and that power that He has already given us.
Exodus 8:9,10 - "And Moses said unto Pharaoh, Glory over me: when shall I entreat for thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people, to destroy the frogs from thee and thy houses, that they may remain in the river only? And he (Pharaoh) said, tomorrow. And he (Moses) said, Be it according to thy word: that thou mayest know that there is none like unto the Lord our God."
RATHER THAN REQUESTING DELIVERANCE FROM THE PLAGUE TODAY, PHAROAH DECIDED HE'D SPEND ONE MORE NIGHT AMONG THE FROGS. HOW LONG AM I WILLING TO SIT AROUND AND LET THE FROGS IN MY LIFE HARASS ME? I MAKE A QUALITY DECISION "TODAY" TO GO WITH THE WORD OF GOD AND GET THEM OUT.
Psalm 31:1,2 - "In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness. Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defense to save me. "
Acts 18:25 - "He (Apollos) had been instructed in the way of the Lord, and burning with spiritual zeal, he spoke and taught diligently and accurately the things concerning Jesus, though he was acquainted only with the baptism of John."
In Acts, the new Christian faith is described as a "way" to follow. Jesus referred to Himself as "The Way" and as The Door". These expressions indicate that I can only recognize spiritual things when I am moving along a path. As long as I have only dogma and proper teaching, I am like the person who owns all the maps in the world, yet never has set foot outside his house to see what the world outside really is like.
The scribes who knew perfectly well that the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem but did not consider it necessary to go there and receive Him. The only possibility I have of meeting the one who lay in the manger is to go with reverence and commitment -- as the wise men from the east -- I have to travel a long way.
James 1:6,7 - "Let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. "
To come boldly and confidently to God for healing is the opposite of saying, "If it be Thy will." If we question God's will for us when we ask Him for something, we are double-minded, cannot ask in faith, and He cannot heal us.
I BOLDLY CONFESS THAT I AM HEALED BY THE STRIPES OF JESUS CHRIST. THE AGONY HE ENDURED WAS FOR ME AND MY HEALTH. I DON'T HAVE TO BE SICK; I DON'T HAVE TO BE WEAK; AND I DON'T HAVE TO LIVE AT THE MERCY OF AFFLICTION ANYMORE. THE STRIPES ON JESUS' BODY WERE FOR ME, SO TODAY I RELEASE MY FAITH AND COMMIT THAT I WILL NOT BE SATISFIED WITH ANYTHING LESS THAN GOD'S BEST -- DIVINE HEALING AND HEALTH EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE!
2 Corinthians 13:5 - "Examine yourselves, to see whether you are holding to your faith. Test yourselves. Do you not realize that Jesus Christ is in you? - unless indeed you fail to meet the test!"
If our Christianity does not work in this life where we can test it, it is foolhardy to hope it will successfully transport us into eternity where, if we fail the test, we suffer eternal separation from God. The test of truth is not an intellectual pursuit but whether you are drawing closer, week by week, to knowing and loving Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 4:20 - "For the Kingdom of God is not in word but in power." We must be a people who live by the power of God, not by impressive words, intellectualism, or man-made systems that try to help people."
2 Corinthians13:4 - "For though He was crucified in weakness, yet He lives by the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, but we shall live with Him by the power of God toward you."
As we seek the face of God, the presence, God's glory should be manifested in our lives. When His glory is manifested, there is the potential of His power to be released through us. It is the power of God that brings a person to salvation, that sets someone free, brings healing and causes miracles to happen.
Do you lean on what you know or do you lean upon God's power? What do you depend on? Where does your trust lie? God wants you to experience His power, know that it has no limits, and to be able to bring it to others. God has a supercharge for your life when you tap into His power. He wants to fully equip you to demonstrate His Kingdom to others.
Romans 15:13 - "Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost."
Romans 8:25 - "But if we must keep trusting God for something that hasn't happened yet, it teaches us to wait patiently and confidently."
There is a fresh stirring of the Lord's desire for us to become all that He would have us to be (our DESTINY). We are hearing a new message beyond anything that we have heard in the past. Our part is to be spiritually open and receptive. We become increasingly aware of the "Open Heaven" that has always been available to us, through which the "Son" can shine brightly to release the potential that is buried within us. For this to happen, we must respond with anticipation, expectancy, and patience.
God grants me the spirit of wisdom and understanding to fulfill the hope to which He has called me and realize the richness of His glorious inheritance in me. (Ephesians 1:17,18)
I curse those things that don’t bear fruit for God in my life. (Mark 11:12)
I make plans and goals to reach and fulfill the desire God has put into my heart. The Holy Spirit will correct those plans and goals to match God’s purpose for me. An uncommon dream requires uncommon patience. (Proverbs 19:21)
Romans 10:9 - "If you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."
Confession without any faith in the heart is powerless; it's useless.
What if I don't believe in my heart? Should I still confess the Word of God?
Yes, because with my lips, I can make confessions unto faith. In other words, as I say God's word over and over again, faith can be built in my heart where before there wasn't any faith.
I can speak God's Word so much that it will eventually affect my heart, and I will begin believing it.
Romans 10:17 - "So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing, by the Word of God."
To the degree that our experiences do not conform to the Word of God, they subtly teach us that God is not who He says He is. In other words, even though you were not healed, you should not conclude "healing is not for today." God's provision is eternal, which means that until heaven and earth pass away, He as provided for our healing.
Experiences may seem valid, but if they have left us thinking that Jesus is not the same today as He was in the Gospels, the conclusion we have drawn is wrong. It is a stronghold that must be pulled down.
Hebrews 13:8 - "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever."
Revelation 22:13 - "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end." Romans 3:4 - "Let God be found true, though every man be found a liar."
Ephesians 3:20 - "Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us."
Out of the box thinking realizes there is no box. You are the limitless PURPOSE and MANIFESTATION of God's glory, released into the earth with the same anointing, mission, and message Jesus had over 2,000 years ago.
You now live beyond the dimension of needing your needs met, and you live in that kingdom dimension of being the conduit of blessing for others.
Out of the box thinking and living eliminates both the box, and the notions of religious confinement that the box created. You now understand that the glory that was on Jesus is now on you...so you are God's glory walking throughout the earth called on assignment to be the answer to someone else's question and the breakthrough for someone else's bondage.
Rejoice, for you can know for certain that the Kingdom is in you for such a day as this! Be confident: you are born for this day. Do not delay to move forward by faith, walking in victory and taking your place as an overcomer, embracing fully the DESTINY God has planned for you (see Ephesians 5:14-17).
Daniel 11:32 - It says, "But those who know their God will be strong and do great exploits." As we speak the Name of Jesus, things have to fall, things have to come down, sickness has got to go, disease has got to go, depression has got to go, and oppression has got to go because everything that's not of the Kingdom of God must bow it's knee to the mighty name of Jesus. But this authority comes through the vastness of understanding and of KNOWING God.
Luke 6:7-8 - "And the scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath day; that they might find an accusation against him. But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man which had the withered hand, 'Rise up, and stand forth in the midst.' And he arose and stood forth."
Jesus says “rise up”. Rise up is the root word for resurrection.
I need to get up higher than my current perception. I need to come to a place where I am looking at things from a more inspired view-point.
Resurrection is a life on a brand new dimension. It does not matter what my current reality is. It simply becomes the opportunity for God’s power to be manifested in the midst of impossibility.
Jesus tells me to rise up! I hear His voice and the promises He gives me in scriptures.
When Simon and Jesus took the cross to Calvary, "they were come (together) unto a place called Golgotha" (Matthew 27:33).
Prophetically, Simon the Cyrenian represents each of us:
We must all come to the place of the cross and die to our agendas and carnal thoughts for our lives and ministries. We must allow the Father's will to be done in our lives. We must all come to our own personal Golgothas. Just as Jesus was with the Cyrenian, He will be with each of us at the time and place of our personal death to self.
"Jesus then said to his disciples, 'If anyone wishes to be a follower of mine, he must leave self behind; he must take up his cross and come with me. Whoever cares for his own safety is lost; but if a man will let himself be lost for my sake, he will find his true self.'" - Matthew 16:24-25 NEB
Your land of promise, your open door awaits your arrival and crossing over but the enemy does not want you to believe God for your breakthrough. He desires to weaken your faith by creating circumstances in your life that are completely opposite of what God has promised you.
Fear alone keeps Believers from being empowered to cross over into enlargement and increase.
Those who know their God will be strong and do great exploits. Move beyond your comfort zone into your destiny in Christ Jesus.
Plead the honor and glory of God's name. Throughout the Bible, this is one of the main appeals that intercessory priestly people made before God. They reminded God of His name and glory and appealed for Him to act on behalf of His name.
The Lord wants me to be rooted in Him, not rooted in my idea about Him.
Many Christians regard good feelings as life. Other Christians consider noble thoughts as life. Only Christ is life -- and this life is deeper than emotions and more profound than thoughts.
2 Corinthians 4:13 - "We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak."
Sometimes I have to speak the Word to myself until I believe it -- then I can use that word to speak to my situation. The abiding word produces the spirit of faith within me; so I spend time with God and permit that word to abide in me. I confess that word and meditate in that word and abide in Jesus. Then the spirit of faith is produced in me.
Romans 10:17 - "So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing, by the word of God."
Acts 10:38 - "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him."
Jesus went about doing "good" by demonstrating the power of the Kingdom of God. What this means is that a powerless life will have a very hard time demonstrating God's goodness. Religion has done a good job of associating God's goodness with mere words. But mere words do not demonstrate the fullness of God's goodness.
1 Corinthians 4:20 - "For the Kingdom of God is not in word but in power."
2 Corinthians 13:4 - "For though He was crucified in weakness, yet He lives by the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, but we shall live with Him by the power of God toward you."
"For the love of Christ constrains us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died; and He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf" - 2 Corinthians 5:14,15
What does it mean to constrain the Lord? In Strong's Concordance, the word "constrain" is defined as to compel, to urge, and to press.
To constrain, to pull or press speaks of a heart attitude that desperately wants closeness with God -- someone who's eager and excited to be His friend -- holy hunger pressing in -- to come and dwell in Him and never leave. It's a heart that pushes for a deeper level of fellowship that's not satisfied with a casual encounter.
There are some Believers who want nothing more than a casual encounter with God? "Oh God, just come and bless me." "Oh God, just do something." But they're not compelling Him to come and to stay close. If we compel Him -- if we're really hungry for Him and if we press in -- He will come and meet with us. He has much to reveal in the days ahead if we have ears to hear, waiting on Him.
If you want more of God, don't take no for an answer because He wants that kind of fellowship with you more than you could even dream. Don't give up. Never give up!
Hebrews 11:3 - "Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear."
Faith is the bridge between the eternal (the unseen) and the temporal (the seen). In prayer, we can cross that bridge and see as God sees. Real prayer is not just words, but intently waiting on God until we (by the Spirit) see what He is seeing.
Jesus ignored what His natural eyes told Him, and He declared what His spiritual eyes saw. He saw the heart of God and the mind of God which was far more of a reality than what His physical senses told Him.
I need to think, believe and speak, not according to things which are seen -- my circumstances -- but according to things which are not seen -- the word of God. As I am faithful to think, believe and speak according to that which is not seen, God will make those things tangible in my life. He will make them "seen"!
Matthew 10:8,9 - "And into whatsoever city you enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you: And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you."
THE REALITY OF BEING BORN OF THE SPIRIT MEANS THAT A WHOLE NEW REALM OF POSSIBILITIES, CHALLENGES AND OBSTACLES NOW UNFOLDS BEFORE US. THE IDEA THAT THE ONLY RELATIONSHIP WE HAVE WITH HEAVEN IS THE ONE WE EXPERIENCE AT DEATH IS SIMPLY CONTRARY TO THE WORD OF GOD.
I have received a spiritual gift to serve others faithfully, administering God’s grace. When I speak, I speak words that seem to come from God; I help as though every order was done at God’s orders so that in everything God may receive the glory through Jesus Christ since to Him belongs all glory and power for ever and ever. (1 Peter 4:10,11)
"But you have received the Holy Spirit, and He lives within you, so you don't need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what He teaches is true – it is not a lie. So just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ." - 1 John 2:27 NLT
This year, many of us know we will be facing uncharted territory. The Lord is leading us deeper into His PURPOSE for our life. We may feel alone and overwhelmed at times, even tempted to run back to the perceived safety and security the world has to offer. The Lord offers us the encouragement we need to go on our journey. He will be with us as we walk through this new year. He will never forsake us, nor will He leave us. He will surely protect us as we DO THE WORK He has asked us to do.
"...Be strong and courageous, and DO THE WORK. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the Lord is finished." - 1 Chronicles 28:20
Ephesians 3:19 - "And to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fulness of God."
THERE IS A PLACE GREATER THAN KNOWLEDGE WHERE WE ABIDE IN CHRIST'S LOVE.
THIS IS, INDEED, THE STRONGHOLD OF GOD. IT IS A PLACE WHERE OUR KNOWLEDGE OF GOD IS FULFILLED WITH THE SUBSTANCE OF GOD.
WE CANNOT TRULY KNOW GOD WITHOUT, IN SOME WAY, ALSO EXPERIENCING HIS PERSON. WE MUST SEEK HIM UNTIL WE PASS THROUGH OUR KNOWLEDGE INTO AN ENCOUNTER WITH THE ALMIGHTY. WE MUST LEARN HOW TO LISTEN TO HIM; AS WE HEAR, OUR CALL IS TO THEN ASCEND HIGHER TO THE DWELLING PLACE OF LOVE THAT FLOODS OUR BEING WITH HIMSELF.
1 Thessalonians 5:23 - "May the God of peace Himself sanctify you wholly; and may your spirit and soul and body be kept sound and blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ."
WHEN THE WORD OF GOD IS ABIDING IN ME AND FUNCTIONING PROPERLY, IT WORKS ON ME FIRST BEFORE IT WORKS ON MY CIRCUMSTANCES, "SEPARATING" MY SPIRIT, MY SOUL (MIND, WILL, AND EMOTIONS), AND MY BODY AND GETTING MY SPIRIT INTO A POSITION WHERE I CAN HEAR GOD WITHOUT THE INFLUENCE OF MY SOUL OR BODY.
Ephesians 1:17,19,20 - "That He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the deep and intimate knowledge of Him. And so that you can know and understand what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength. Which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places."
The Holy Spirit within the believer ministers truth by revelation. In other words, it is revealed, not figured out. God does not talk to our brains! He speaks to the spirit of man. Jesus never said that water would flow out of your head, but that, "Out of your innermost being would flow rivers of living water." John 7:36
This is the ultimate Christianity -- communication and communion with the Holy Spirit, knowing more and more about Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.
I KNOW THE MIRACLE OF RESURRECTION FOR ME IS -- JESUS IS THE POWER AND THE POWER IS ALWAYS PRESENT -- THAT SAME POWER THAT RAISED JESUS FROM THE DEAD, ENABLES ME TO RISE OUT OF MY ADVERSE CIRCUMSTANCES AND STEP INTO THE PURPOSES OF GOD FOR MY LIFE.
