Zephaniah 3:17 - "The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; He will save, He will rejoice over thee with joy; He will rest in His love, He will joy over thee with singing."
Why is it right to sing, shout, dance and leap? Acts of celebration get repeated mention in the psalmist's descriptions of how we approach God. The reason -- God is a God to celebrate. He rejoices over us with singing so He wants us to rejoice in Him with singing. When we give to Him what He gives to us, we step further into relationship with Him, deepening our heart-connection.
Genesis 22:2 - "And He said, "Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering." Like Abraham, we do not become overly possessive of anything in the temporary realm. Our "Isaacs," we will freely give back to God because we know that the resurrection will give them back to us for eternity.
"The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority (initiative); but the Father who dwells in Me does the works." - John 14:10
There is a better fast to go on than a fast from food! We can learn to fast from our own thoughts and opinions. Many times we don't hear God because our minds are too full of our own thoughts. Jesus is our example. He lived a perpetual fast from His own thoughts and opinions. He emphasized this truth continually.
I think outside myself and inside the Word -- and let Jesus bless the world through me.
As I rest in His victory I rule in the midst of my enemies.
Since Christ is in me I am upheld by the Spirit of God.
Song of Solomon 4:16 - "Awake, O north wind; and come, thou south; blow upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow out. Let my Beloved come into His garden, and eat His pleasant fruits."
This is a new day, let the Son arise with healing in His wings and let the wind of God take you to a new realm of faith and understanding in this hour for such a time as this.
Choose life, and to live that life abundantly. It's not too late, it's time to begin again. It is the time for a new season of love and drinking of the new wine. It's time to be intoxicated with His love and come into the chamber – into His presence to meet with Him. He will meet with you in that secret place and show you the secrets of His heart.
He does not withhold any good thing from you, you can trust Him with your all your heart. He desires that you prosper even as your soul prospers (3 John 2). This is a time of sowing and reaping in spiritual prosperity; of seeking first the Kingdom of God and all the things you need or ever wanted shall be added to you (Matthew 6:33). This is a time of manifestation and breakthrough; of new birth where we realize that the dream is His dream and the desire is His desire.
As surely as Lazarus rose from the dead, you can be equipped to devastate evil and have a powerful impact on the lives of others.
Our willful decision to pick up our cross (our CALLING) and lay down our lives for others, as Jesus did, is the very path upon which true authority develops.
"I have authority to lay my life down." (John 10:18)
"He said to them, 'But who do you say that I am?'" - Matthew 16:15
God brings us to unfamiliar places to ask us a similar question, "Who do you say that I am?" How we answer is critical. If answered correctly, our answer will have a God-purpose attached to it that we will carry us into the future (our DESTINY) with expectancy.
John 13:8 -- Peter said to Him, "You shall never wash my feet!" Jesus answered him, "If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me."
John 13:9,10 -- "Then, Lord," Simon Peter replied, "not just my feet but my hands and my head as well!" Jesus answered, 'A person who has had a bath needs only to wash his feet; his whole body is clean. And your are clean....."'
Once we have received Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are bathed all over, and cleansed by His blood once and for all eternity! His blood has perfected us forever (Hebrews 10:14), and we only need to wash our feet because we walk in the world and our feet pick up dust and dirt, causing us to stumble.
So how is Jesus washing our feet today? Ephesians 5:25-26 tells us that "Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the Word."
We, the church, are cleansed with the washing of water by the Word. The more we come under anointed teaching that unveils Christ through the Word, the more the cleansing goes on. And as our feet are washed, instead of stumbling, we will be walking and even running!
I LET JESUS WASH MY FEET WITH A DEEPER REVELATION OF HIMSELF THROUGH HIS WORD.
We've got to be at a place where we stop and say, "Soul, what are you doing, and why are you so complacent? I've got to remember from where I have fallen. I've got to get back that love and that passion and that fire; I've got to get it back! I've got to repent and do the first works! Something's wrong here. I'm not going to stay here anymore murmuring and going around this mountain. I am going to do something about it!"
Revelation 2:4, 5a" --"Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works."
"Delight yourself in the LORD; and He will give you the desires of your heart." - Psalm 37:4 "Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son." - John 14:13
He is pulling you away from the old, and taking you under the water into the unknown for a time of being unseen and unheard, for a "deeper depth" experience with Him. God is asking you to not judge things by your natural eyesight. God is doing something bigger than you can see right now. Yes, He's about to blow your paradigm and expand your destiny consciousness.
What's the purpose of this?
He is preparing to set you up to ride on top of the next big move of His Spirit, but you have to let go of the old to receive the new. God is going to lift you up on the top of this wave with greater speed, accuracy, and impact, than the one you were previously on.
Let go and receive a greater commission!
See with the eyes of your spirit man, not the eyes of your flesh. It's time to graduate and go to the next level! It's time to put on the new wine skins fully and receive the infilling of new strength, vigor, and faith.
Isaiah 42:9,10 - " Behold the former things have come to pass, now I declare new things;......sing to the Lord a new song, sing His praise from the end of the earth!"
Romans 4:17 -- ....."God who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did."
Sometimes we feel pain from sickness. How can we go around saying the Christ has redeemed us from this sickness? How can we say that by His stripes we are healed?
God's way is to call those things that are not as though they are. And because we are made in God's image, we can also call those things that are not as though they are!
When God wanted to make Abraham a father of many nations, what did He do?
HE CHANGED THE WAY ABRAHAM TALKED.
At that time, Abraham did not even have a single child from his wife, Sarah, because she was barren. So how could he become a father of many nations?
God changed the way he talked, How? By changing his name from Abram to Abraham, which means "father of many nations." Every time he said his name he called forth what God saw him already blessed with.
When Jesus saw the man with a withered hand, He didn't say, "My goodness! It is so withered!" He said, "Stretch out your hand! (Matthew 12:13). He CALLED FORTH what he wanted. He looked at the paralytic and said, "Rise, take up your bed and go home!" (Matthew 9:6). He didn't see it the way it was in the natural. He saw the way God meant it to be and He called it forth.
I change the way I talk -- I see the way God meant it to be, and start calling forth my miracle.
Often, the battle is not with the devil, but with our own CARNAL NATURE. Our flesh really longs to rise up and fix things, stating our opinion. We must remember--the greater the faith, the fewer the words. If there are some battles or power-struggles going on in your sphere of influence, keep in mind, it's best to always bow lower. After all, God became a baby to conquer the world. For it's, "Not by might, nor by power, but by My spirit, says the Lord." - Zechariah 4:6
As You Allow Him to Change You, He will Change Your Circumstances:
The season of depression, confusion, lack, and sinful cycles is over. Don't look back -- Don't bring up the past -- It is under the Blood of Christ. Just as your sins have been forgiven forgive others. Let go of the bitterness and the regrets. Crucify your ego. Release the anger. He will work everything for good.
Get ready to move into new realms of His glory. Every time you encounter His glory He is changing you. He is changing your thoughts. He is changing your perspective. He is increasing the power of His Spirit in you. He is anointing you to bring breakthrough to others.
Receive the fresh prophetic flow of His presence. Be refreshed. Receive an excitement for that which is coming. The future is full of adventure. Expect Him to do mighty things for nothing is impossible for those who believe!
"The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope to which He has called you, and what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints." - Ephesians 1:18
Oh, how the Lord longs for His church to receive a revelation of His ravished heart - utterly overwhelmed with delight for us - even though we may not like or believe in ourselves. (Psalm 45:11)
We have been created to carry the glory of God. Hebrews 2 says that through Christ's suffering He brought many sons to glory. We are the house of God, and He wants to dwell in His house. It was always God's intention to dwell with mankind.
"Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!" - Corinthians 5:17
The Scriptures entreat us to go from glory to glory -- allowing us always to sustain the glory released in us so we can proceed further to the greater realms of glory He desires to display in us.
"But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit. - 2 Corinthians 3:18
As the will of God grows on you -- gentle impressions become waves of stronger urgency until you have clear conviction.
If you don't keep your spirit built up in God, how are you going to listen to Him?
"We have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous." - 1 John 2:1
When the Holy Spirit shows us an area that needs repentance, we must overcome the instinct to defend ourselves. We must silence the little lawyer who steps out from a dark closet in our minds, pleading. "My client is not so bad." Christ alone is your true advocate.
If we are to serve fresh bread, we must be gathering fresh bread each day. Jesus must be new to us each morning.
The Lord delights in those moments when we come to Him in childlike faith and surrender to request that He make something out of nothing.
Each of us has a cup to drink en route to our DESTINY. We will swallow the full dregs, and though it kills us, we shall live. Yet it shall not be us, but Christ living in us.
Luke 6:7-8 - "And the scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath day; that they might find an accusation against him. But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man which had the withered hand, 'Rise up, and stand forth in the midst.'And he arose and stood forth."
Jesus says “rise up”. Rise up is the root word for resurrection. I need to get up higher than my current perception. I need to come to a place where I am looking at things from a more inspired view-point. Resurrection is a life on a brand new dimension. It does not matter what my current reality is. It simply becomes the opportunity for God’s power to be manifested in the midst of impossibility. Jesus tells me to rise up! I hear His voice and the promises He gives me in scriptures.
Luke 6:9-10 - "And Jesus said to them, “I ask you, is it lawful to do good or to do harm on the Sabbath, to save a life or to destroy it?” After looking around at them all, He said to him, “Stretch out your hand!” And he did so; and his hand was restored."
I have to be willing to stretch beyond what I think is possible. i.e. My reach needs to exceed my grasp. I have to stretch from my spirit man through faith.
2 Corinthians 3:17-18 - "Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit."
I do not stop until I experience the presence of God. I stretch my faith in the direction of the destiny God has for me.
As the Spirit of the Lord works in me I become more and more like Him.
I allow Christ to change me as I cease struggling, cease wrestling, and cease striving against Him.
I am becoming a holy place where God can rest.
"He that believeth on me....out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water." - John 7:38
The very life of the risen Christ in us is moving us to do His will. We are partakers of the divine nature to manifest the life of Jesus to the world.
"Others mocking said, 'These men are full of new wine.'" - Acts 2:13
"New wine" - a new order, new inspiration, new manifestation, a new creation. It is God's mind to fill us with that wine, to make us ready to burst forth with new rivers, fresh energy, no tired feeling. What shall we do?
Believe -- stretch out -- press on -- let there be a new entering in -- a new passion to have it. We must drink deeply of the new wine, that the ones God has given us to influence and disciple may be satisfied and find satisfaction too.
"Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself." - Philippians 3:21
The body being so operated by the Spirit in the process of changing through affirming and meditating on His Word until we are like unto Him. Being filled with the Spirit we are so hungry, so thirsty, that nothing will satisfy us but seeing Jesus. Getting more thirsty every day, more dry every day, until the floods come, and the Master passes by, ministering unto us and through us, and through us the same life, the same inspiration, that as He is, so are we in this world.
Jesus told Peter that the revelation of Who He was did not come from human intellect or speculation. Jesus was defined for Peter by the Father: "You are blessed, Simon son of John, because My Father in Heaven has revealed this to you. You did not learn this from any human being." - Matthew 16:17
This kind of revelation is available to every Christ-follower, because our Father has done everything in His power to ensure that we hear His heart for our lives (our DESTINY). The revelation of Jesus is waiting in Heaven to be downloaded upon the earth and it is available for each of us in this unique time in human history. We will not receive this truth from the false gods and political agendas that surround us, rather, we will receive it from God, our Father.
To live by faith is to live in the Kingdom of God; while to believe only that which reason can verify is to live as a heathen under the power of the kingdom of darkness.
Is there not deep inside you a longing for His continuous presence?
Do you not crave an increase of God's love, God's joy, God's peace, God's power?
1 Corinthians 1:31 -- As it says in the scriptures, "If anyone is going to boast, let him boast only of what the Lord has done."
If someone were to ask us, "What must I do to inherit eternal life?" we would probably tell him, "Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved."
A rich young ruler asked Jesus the same question but instead of telling the man to believe in Him, Jesus gave him the law (Mark 10:17-22).
Jesus saw that the young ruler lived his life taking PRIDE in his ability to keep the law to earn salvation and the favor of God. But because of His love for the man, Jesus had to show him that those who live by the law must realize that their self-efforts cannot save them.
So Jesus had to tell him, "One thing you lack....sell whatever you have and give to the poor... and come... and follow Me."When the young ruler heard that, he walked away sorrowful.
When we boast of having kept the law, it will always point out something we lack or have failed to obey. The law is so holy and perfect that if we don't keep even one small part of it, it has no choice but to judge and curse us. (Galatians 3:10). That is what the law was designed to do.
Let's boast only in Jesus' FINISHED WORK ON THE CROSS -- that He is our strength, health, favor, prosperity, wisdom, hope, salvation, and glory. That is how we will see ourselves enjoying our inheritance of abundant life!
The glory of the Lord has risen upon me. I express radiance as my heart thrills and rejoices.
I keep the Word before me until I receive a revelation of Jesus as my healer or my deliverer or whatever I need Him to be.
I refuse to settle for a shallow mental understanding of Jesus.
We must have our spiritual eyes open to see and live another reality. Therefore, the great call of these times is to fulfill II Timothy 2:3-4:
"Suffer hardship with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No soldier in active service entangles himself in the affairs of everyday life, so that he may please the One who enlisted him as a soldier."
The Holy Spirit within us wants to use us to properly do battle against the enemy. However, we must remember, "...the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty THROUGH GOD for pulling down of strongholds." 2 Corinthians 10:4
We must allow the Holy Spirit the "right of way" to take it over and to direct it. We must turn TO it and not from it. We must not be ashamed of the WEEPING that He desires to cry out through us! "..Today if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts..." Hebrews 3:7-8
Revelation 22:2: "In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations."
The winds of change are blowing over the Church right now. God is breathing transition over much of the Body of Christ. If you are in a season where you feel extremely restless, it could be that God is preparing your heart for transition. You may feel this way because even though you are still dwelling in your present season, God is declaring new things in your heart, which will give you the courage to step out of the old and into the new. God often transitions your heart before He transitions your circumstances.
The Refiner's fire comes upon the hearts of God's children to burn away the chaff of orphanship as they hunger to understanding their inheritance in Christ, their right standing with God, and how to walk in the Spirit --therefore revealing refined sons and daughters. It aligns hearts, so that what God wants to release over the Church will be able to be stewarded healthily and orderly.
He is realigning our circumstances, vision and direction, and bringing shifts within our heart as He brings fresh order. God is blowing His winds of change so that the leaves of the Tree of Life will bring healing to the nations. He is fanning into flames of the Refiner's Fire, so that we will not only be able to catch what the Lord is releasing, but that we will also steward it with longevity.
"And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the Spirit by which he spoke." - Acts 6:10
Bid the brooding Spirit of God to apply your prayer to the specifics of your day. Wait quietly. Listen carefully, Obey immediately.
There is a union between Christ and the Christian that is so deep, so pure, so sweet, so real, that the very conditions of the human spirit are transmitted to His, and the conditions of Christ's spirit are transmitted to ours.
Pursuit to achieve a continuous God-consciousness, to experience this oneness with God is the most normal condition one can have.
"I will bless the LORD who guides me; even at night my heart instructs me." - Psalm 16:7
Where are you with Him this night? Are you in the fold of His arms? Are you where His hand can rest upon your head, and give you right thinking and right understanding? Are you so close that He needs only to whisper, and you feel His breath, and know exactly what He is sending you to do, and the message He will send you to carry?
Learn to run into His arms. Learn to acknowledge His presence in every hour of the day, until you become so aware that you too cannot escape His presence, just like David. Because if you too were locked in the pits of Hell, He would come and get you, for you are His property.
