Music:
My musical preference is towards the heavier stuff. Some of the Christian bands I like include Stryper, Skillet, Pillar, Demon Hunter, and Rob Rock, although I like many Christian artists/bands.
I also like some CCM (Casting Crowns, MW Smith, SC Chapman), modern P&W (Tim Hughes, Newsboys, Matt Redman), and anything else that sounds good.

Movies:
I LOVE MOVIES!
Some of my fav's include any Superman movie, The Bucket List, Signs, Lady In the Water, Unbreakable, Life is Beautiful, Passion of the Christ, Amazing Grace, End of the Spear, School of Rock, I Am Legend, The Island, Pay It Forward, the Rocky series, The Ultimate Gift, Forrest Gump,and the totally awesome Thief in the Night series.

Television:
I have a love/hate relationship with TV shows. I hate reality TV shows and all the adverts... they drive me nuts. I'm actually watching a lot more TV shows these days, but I tend to buy the DVD box sets of the shows I like including Stargate SG1/Atlantis, Monk, Psych, The 4400, Star Trek (any of 'em), The Pretender, Boomtown, The Dead Zone, Smallville, Eli Stone, Frasier, Eureka, According to Jim, and Due South.

Books:
Favourites: The Bible (NIV mainly), Un-Christian, In the Presence of My Enemies, Streets of Pain, Frank Perretti's The Oath, the Angelwalk series, Soul Tsunami, Hell's Best Kept Secret, and The Cost of Discipleship.

Heroes:
Anyone who makes a "sold out" commitment to following Jesus.
Famous people: Billy Graham, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Raoul Walenberg, King David, The Apostle Peter, and ultimately Jesus

My name is Christian St John and I am the founder of the online ministry HardcoreFaith.com
Previous to HardcoreFaith.com I pastored for two years as an intern pastor and three years as a senior pastor.
I hold degrees in Christian studies (ACS) and church ministries (BChM), and in 2007 I graduated with a Master of Divinity degree from ACTS Seminaires of Trinity Western University, Langley, BC, Canada.
I am a preacher by calling and have spoken the Word of God in churches, youth groups, prisons, and rehab centers, both in Canada and in the UK. My video sermons, recorded while pastoring Cedar Brook Church in Abbotsford, BC, Canada, have been watched thousands of times on Youtube and Google Videos. Watch them here.
As well as being the main Faithblog and review contributor, webmaster, and preacher of HardcoreFaith.com, I am an avid self confessed movie lover, And am working on The Movie Lovers Bible Study Series, a series of guides for personal or group study times.
